During an active missing person investigation? When they immediately called in homicide detectives? Not directing this towards you. My brain just won't make it make sense. JMO, MOO, etc.
I am not sure, can't recall where I read about it. I would like to know when the card was put there.

Well if you believe TMZ that’s exactly what they did.

For 20+ people??? Doubtful
As for how those 40 names were selected, we're told authorities have identified the type of holster the man was wearing, and they have found around 40 people in the area who purchased the item.

He didn't take the camera. I think he was startled to see the camera light go on as he approached and just wanted to disconnect it. I'm beginning to think they were at the wrong house.
He did take the camera. In addition to the other sources people have provided, the FBI directly referenced this in their statement that accompanied the release of the pictures and videos.

“…continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors - including the removal of recording devices”

If anyone remembers the guy interviewed at least twice, who some people in this thread found a tad suspicious, and who was calling himself a “neighbour” while trying to push the blame on TC, there appears to be someone in Tucson with the same first name as him and whose last name relates to Friday night’s SWAT events. Could be complete coincidence, of course, but if so, it’s an interesting one all the same.

JMO
The so called ‘neighbour’ who lived about 15 minutes away?

The perp(s) were smart/lucky enough to avoid capture this long, but they haven't gained anything. I think it was a kidnapping but unfortunately have the feeling Ms. Guthrie did not survive the first few hours. Hence there was never proof of life. JMO.
Think delusional...It was in the perps best interest that he keep her alive if he was a love sick SG celebrity
stalker...OH>>>>the conversations they could have! Oh the value to him ( and possibly the the additional monetary value) to have NG alive relating details about SG. New intimate details.. Now, many of us are moms. What would you tell this delusional, unhinged stalker about your daughter that would placate him AND protect your daughter at the same time.? I would be telling him stories, fake stories. However, he wans facts. A mom would be protecting her child Assuming she MIGHT be still alive, this is the scenario I see.. A direct narratuve frim the mom all about SG from the time she was born... DETAILS! She might still be alive.. Blood on scene? If she was really on blood thinners ( was that confirmed?), an elbow to her nose during an inadvertent struggle could easily cause that. JMO MOO

I wonder if the glove had a few lantana flowers stuck to it or something? It is just hard to believe that they are doing genealogical testing on a random glove they found 2 miles away with nothing to really connect it to NG's house.

Who were mysteriously all Hispanic men with a mustache and beard.

So “The day she was reported missing a neighbor called Adult Protective Services,” he says. “They sent an investigator to check on her.” Sounds like after, but why did the neighbor report then?
When I had to call the Yuma, AZ APS on my mom with Dementia due to self-neglect in December 2025, it was a Friday and they told me it could take as many as 5 business days to get a caseworker out to visit her. They actualy went to see her 3 days later on Monday.

It think it tracks perfectly with this investigation.

Does it look like a horseshoe-shaped ring to anyone else?

ETA: JMO - MOO

This is a screenshot from the link (New clues in search for Nancy Guthrie):
Looks like it might be a pinky ring or an initial ring. JMO. I kept trying to see the left hand, when the tape and photos were released to see if there was a wedding band.

I can't believe the interest in the neighbor's camera on day what? 16. I would have thought that would be first day.
I have known folks on the East Coast and colder climates who “winter” in AZ in second homes. Perhaps these neighbors have been out of town. When they returned and reviewed their security video accounts realized they have something they think relevant to this case.

As far as the men getting in the car in neighbor’s driveway, do we /the reporter know for certain this was the neighbor’s car? I’m wondering if it’s the car the men drove. If that car has evidentiary value, I don’t think they would have both gone and sat inside. MOO.

I am speculating about all this.

This may help some of our sleuthers understand how genetic/forensic genealogy works:

I have seen several posts that say "he may have used the flowers to lure her to the door...". I think that I missed something. What flowers? Not those weedy-looking things that the perp pulled out and used to try to cover the camera?

And who gets a flower delivery at 2 in the morning?

IMO

A significant amount of snowbirds in that area. Simply could have been in another location at the time.

is it possible the FBI has connected transactions to the holster already and that’s why they are going around with drivers license photos to the gun shops to see if they bought a gun there?

MOO
How? There is no way from that IR Nest cam footage they can discern what brand of holster that is or when it was purchased. Those nylon universal holsters are always seen in $5 gun store bins and yard sales. They used to be more popular decades ago. It's quit possible (likely really) that he legally purchased a gun outside of a gun store scenario or even illegally. Maybe they have a list of people who bought Walmart exclusive backpacks and similar holsters in the same purchase but even that proves nothing and is a stretch.
