Phillip Martin, co-owner of Armor Bearer Arms in Tucson, told Fox News’
@amaliarroy an FBI agent visited his store with three pages containing photos and the names of roughly 18 to 24 people, asking whether any had purchased a firearm there within the past year.“He actually had given me a list of paper, list of people that had pictures and names on it, and he wanted to know if I could help him pull up in my system if any of these people have purchased a gun in the last year,” Martin said.

Dang. They're no even back tracing 4473s (I guess they really don't have cause) but asking gun stores voluntarily (none where I live would give that up, that's a big can of civil liberty worms right there).

Very curious how they compiled the list. Very.

Again, if I was Mr. Latanas I would not have bought the gun in a gun shop, much easier untraceable legal ways to do it in AZ.

Who is the spokesperson for Pima County Sheriff? They keep referring to a SET of gloves....It was ONE, as in singular, GLOVE. Really irritating......... jmo

Having to wear latex gloves for years at work when taking them off i would grab the glove with gloved hand to remove while still holding the removed glove with gloved hand i would use ungloved hand to remove both gloves. The first glove removed winds up in the second glove removed, both gloves end up inside out.

The glove in this pic appears to be inside out.

This sounds quite desperate. Like a shotgun strategy (excuse the pun). Not like a targeted investigation.

10:47 AM PT -- UPDATE The Sheriff just announced there is no DNA hit from CODIS.
I just watched all of this. Thanks for posting it. Admittedly, I don't usually watch or listen to HL/TMZ.

It's my understanding, from his explanation, that the only way DNA can be put into the enormous database is if it's tested in the state where it was found. IOW, I thought he made it sound like there was still a possibility of a match based on a technicality. Did anyone else interpret it that way or am I just way behind?

I do know the DNA doesn't match, but I thought that might be based on this technicality of it being tested in the state it was found.

i'm so sick of all the misinformation being put out

moo
If it was a 'kidnapping', then 'very little planning was done' he seemed unaware of the door bell camera; initially had no idea of how he was going to deal with it. Surely that is the first thing a criminal mind thinks of when planning a criminal act, are there going to be 'surveillance' cameras.

Curious as well. Does the FBI have weekend/night lab shifts?
You would think so, in life or death cases such as a child abduction.

This case remains one of the most bizarre I've ever seen.

An elderly woman was abducted from her home, which is one of the rarest demographics for kidnappings, and we still have no idea what the motive is. If it's a kidnapping, there's still no clear or consistent line of communication. No signs of a robbery. No body has been found. We have the intruder on video, but still have no idea who he is. This is one of the top national stories in the country and nobody has been able to identify him or give a tip that has led to a viable suspect. He took precautions enough to where even with 2026's modern technology, LE has not remotely come close to identifying him.... in a crime that typically is extremely hard to get away with.

Nothing about this case makes sense. All these weeks later we still don't even know if those ransom letters were from the kidnapper.

It's why with each passing day that goes without resolution, you simply can't close the door on an outlier motive for this case, because everything about this case is an outlier to begin with. Nothing would surprise me at this point.
Makes me think of the killing of Missy Bevers. While there was no kidnapping and it was in a public place and much younger woman.

Just the fact that the prep was on video and disguised themselves, many thought it would be solved rather quickly. Coming up on 10 years and still unsolved. Hopefully this case isn’t still unsolved in 10years.

Edited to add: In no way am i insinuating that this case is connected.

Am I getting this result because I’m in Europe or is the system down?

System must be down as I could access it earlier (UK) but not now.
I’m in the UK and can get search results now, so it’s probably internittently going down when a lot of people are trying to access at once.

So, not 40 "persons of interest" which makes Nanos' denial TRUE. jmo
It sounds a little like semantics to me.

I believe it's just a standard disclaimer to cover the agency's rears legally. I've seen them with other agencies. JMO

I got this message about 45 minutes ago. Wondering if the ability to do inmate lookup was disabled.

And where does the investigation go from here? Suggest a strategy to locate NG.

Harvey Levin is saying this....

For my fellow video haters… Harvey Levin from TMZ says:
  • DNA testing on glove is complete in FL lab, but for federal standards, to check in CODIS, it has to be tested in the state in which it is found (not from Harvey: this has now been done)
  • The glove is not the glove the NY Post found, which apparently people believed, but a different glove from 2 miles away
  • Semi-automatic handgun in the holster
  • LE has tried to identify people who’ve purchased a specific holster, and that is the list that they are taking to local gun shops to see if those people are recognized, or perhaps purchased a gun that would match the one seen in the Nest footage
  • TMZ will not be talking about the person sending them the letters anymore because he doesn’t want to leak anything to the public or create speculation about information they might have. He also seems to say that they will let the public know if the letter writer sends them info and they pass it onto the FBI, but this seems to contradict everything else he was saying.

I’m hopeful that the DNA found at the home of NG will hit in CODIS and we will be very close to finding her.
