“Nanos provided new details of activity after Nancy Guthrie was last seen. At approximately 1:47 a.m. Sunday, the doorbell camera at her home disconnected and authorities do not have it in their possession, he said.” (BBM)

JMO
They did not have it in their possession because they sent it to Google. If you read my past posts you will see the press conference where he says they have sent the camera to the "tech company" for analysis. He said that in the Feb 5th press conference.

If the video was always “meant to be seen”, why would he go to the efforts to remove and take the camera?

JMO
To make us think there was a legit reason he was out there in that "costume."

From NBC News. They showed a picture on the Nightly News of the fist with a circle of where they think a ring is I'll see if I can find it.

"I'm going to give that to my team"???? They have had that photo for many days now. Does he think they did not notice?

Interesting-

He says 80% of names he was shown were Hispanic and had facial hair the way he imagined the person in the suspect video having. He found no match to anyone that had been to his shop.

The owner of Tucson gun shop Armor Bearer Arms describes what an FBI agent showed him as he asked for details on gun sales in the past year related to the Guthrie investigation.

“The facial hair that I saw in that video reminds me a lot of these photographs.”

I thought lantana man looked Hispanic from the get. No racism at all intended.

Sounds more like desperation than following actual leads to me. The only indication the perp could be Hispanic is the fact that the area has a lot of Hispanics and because that sketch artist (questionably) put out a sketch with very Hispanic leaning looks. I personally don't think you can tell that much detail about the perps face or ethnicity from the video. If you take that sketch and have an AI like Gemini's nano banana give it lighter skin and a bit lighter hair while keeping the beard and mustache and keeping the same facial structure you end up with a very white looking caucasian guy with the exact same facial features. DM me if you want to see those results.

So “The day she was reported missing a neighbor called Adult Protective Services,” he says. “They sent an investigator to check on her.” Sounds like after, but why did the neighbor report then?
Good question. Did the neighbor try calling Nancy that morning or going over and didn’t get an answer? But why would you call Adult Protective Services instead of 911? Isn’t APS more for like ongoing suspected abuse issues and not if someone is missing??
Hmm

We're they plumbers? They could have been pulling something that was flushed but had not made it to the septic tank.

Probably Savannah's people picking up items.

Which likely means one of two things - either preliminary DNA correlated with those origins, or the sample also contained Mediterranean and Middle Eastern men, who often share similar identifying features.

I hope they have also been getting the word out about Nancy to those who only speak Spanish.

Yeah that’s weird, IMO.

Imo we should report a post that is a violation of the rules here. Every time you reply to that post or quote is it another one mods have to deal with.
Report and move on is what I do.
I did 3 reports earlier

Just touching it all over with no gloves. Just seems odd to me, but I guess it’s turning into a giant dna Petri dish at her home. What’s a little more?
You think someone of note possibly touched NG’s neighbors’ camera?

This is about finding a monster,’ says Chris Nanos, who stands at the center of the search for mother of ‘Today’ co-anchor Savannah Guthrie

The search for DNA expands as the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of TODAY show co-host Savannah Guthrie, is in its seventeenth day. Investigators are using tech to assist in the search. Community members have been rallying around the Guthrie family by leaving heartfelt messages on the "Bring Her Home" banner at the News 4 Tucson station

Yes, all of that makes sense. I have also wondered if they have paid someone and gotten nothing back. But I was thinking that maybe she should have just done that from day one and only paid the million after they got her back. If I had the money, that’s what I would want to do. But I am sure she was listening to whatever LE and the FBI told her to do. This is such a nightmare-praying it ends soon.

No doubt if she could've she probably tried. Or wanted to very, very badly but was told it might impede the investigation. She's a natural go getter and problem solver or she wouldn't have gotten as far as she's gotten in life. She's probably also heeded plenty of sage counsel along the way, which may be what we are seeing here.

Good news is she got those genes from somewhere, right? So if NG has a chance, she's probably fighting just as hard to will herself out of this.

I get what you’re saying but we don’t know if those names are on there based on the video alone. IMHO there may be other reasons, just like what @Mistermagoo says above with this article, Glove in Nancy Guthrie Kidnapping Case Re-Tested in Arizona, No DNA Hit
And there's more information. As NewsNationfirst reported, law enforcement has given some gun shops in the Tucson area around 40 names to determine if any of those people bought a gun like the one the presumed kidnapper was photographed holstering as he approached Nancy's door. As for how those 40 names were selected, we're told authorities have identified the type of holster the man was wearing, and they have found around 40 people in the area who purchased the item.

—-
If the above is true it would seem 80% of those holster buying men were Hispanic and therefore on the list.

So did I.
And no racism involved, just an observation of his entire gestalt.

I was coming to post something similar. APS is definitely for abuse, neglect, etc. I was wondering if the neighbor saw unfamiliar vehicles and activity (unmarked PO) but why call APS instead of LE? Once APS arrived, wouldn't she have seen LEOs or been let inside by family? Why did she need to place the card on the door? When did she arrive? One would think she would've noticed the blood. I can't make the timing of her visit make sense or understand the need for APS instead of LE. But, I'm not convinced this will help find NG.
JMO, MOO, etc.

Eyewitness memory is famously bad. No disrespect to that guy but I highly doubt he’d be able to remember POI “within the year” even if he did in fact come in. I probably wouldn’t either unless the person had a very distinctive feature. It’s better than nothing and I’m certainly not knocking them for trying since that’s what you do in investigations, it’s just too bad that it’s very difficult to mine people’s memory especially when they didn’t know at the time that they should remember something.

I've done this before, called to have someone check on an elderly relative. In my case, my relative lives out of my state. I called the local police department, explained why I was worried and they sent someone over. It's their decision to send an officer who might call APS if something is amiss, or they could have just sent an APS worker over to begin with. I wasn't told who went, but in the end my relative got a hold of me. Perhaps the friend/neighbor called the police to check on NG when she didn't show up to watch the church service, and they opted to send APS instead of an officer.

Just a thought. IMO.
