Sure I understand that. Just like I understand they have to test every disposable glove they find on miles of roadside even though chances are they are not linked at all. Both are stretches. But again, what purchases are they tying? Leads? Walmart universal pistol holsters? They don't even sell those in that color and the details of that holster is different. That universal nylon holster seen in the dark IR lit Nest footage can be over of dozens of models produced by multiple companies over decades. Looked like a yard sale holster to me. So they are tracking down guestimates at best.

I hear ya but developing that lead does not take that much time really. It seems like it does but it doesn’t. We don’t know if this guy bought an extra holster. I think for the time spent it’s worth pursuing.

I mean it’s hard to ignore photos when there’s a resemblance to the perp. To overlook it is bad detective work imo.

Sad thought. I assumed the blood was coming directly from NG as it's her blood. But it's possible it was dripping from an attacker. It could have been brutal in the house
IMO, I don't believe it was brutal inside. If it was, I think we would have heard it was an apparent murder scene vs a kidnapping. I can't wrap my head around the idea that the family would entertain ransom notes if there was an obvious sign of murder, i.e."brutal" inside.

I am so curious about this pic. Did Le remove the gun and backpack so viewers can get a sense of his body type? Does he approach without the backpack at some point? Is the gun under his jacket? It does look like something rectangular is in his right pocket.
And no holes in the ski mask????
There's holes in the mask, he's just further back and washed out in the IR light. Any poor low light picture with IR light pointed on it like night cams will wash out and blend like this in the distance. It's causing a little confusion for posters and basically an optical illusion. You can only contrast adjust so much but I'm sure they cleaned it up a bit on their end.

No, it was not the attacker's blood. It was confirmed to be the blood of Nancy Guthrie. Video confirmation at 2:26.

An extra holster? His original didn't match his gun or even his type of gun. He had a late gen small frame semi auto in a large frame universal revolver holster. But if they want to track down 1,000s of holster purchases under that umbrella. I guess they're trying. Again, I understand it but it shows they really have no concrete leads and are trying to come across something, anything to reverse engineer their investigation back to a potential suspect.

Who were mysteriously all Hispanic men with a mustache and beard.
According to the gunshop owner, about 80 percent are Hispanic.

It wasn’t put in or they didn’t find a match?
I heard him say in an interview today that the DNA inside the house was not in CODIS. Can’t find the video and I’m hoping it’s not a FOX interview.

I see what you’re saying but we haven’t seen the dl photos. The photos are the key. If there’s any resemblance you just have to follow up on it.

For me it would be hard to look past the photos of people that have qualities consistent with the nest perp.

I thought they looked like two different people in matching disguises. It would make sense to dress alike.

The porch guy looked stockier to me.
The guy with no backpack has black on the side of his shoes while the other doesn't. Same build though. Pockets might be different on the pants. One seems to have side entry to the pockets but can't tell on the other pants. The head shape seems a bit different on the guy with no backpack, possibly a longer forehead and possibly a bit taller - not sure. Definitely a pattern (camo?) on the one jacket but the other jacket seems solid color.

Has anyone identified the shoes the masked man is wearing in the video at NG's front door? That might be another avenue of leads IMO.

- Google is still trying to recover video from the other Nest cameras from Nancy's house. However, they don't think they can. :(

- Sheriff Nanos states they only had the first images/video from the front doorbell camera for about 2 hours before releasing them to the public.

We can use Fox for this case. Tricia approved it.

Well, that's that then.

Disappointing.

Did he turn the mask backwards?
Maybe the man in the video tried to pry off the camera with the stems of the lantana and couldn’t and got frustrated and left it alone, so man #2 turned his mask backwards to not be seen on the video and then pulled the camera off. MOO

Just trying to think of reasons the second man was also seen on the doorbell cam.

Do we know yet if any ransom was paid by the Guthries, via bitcoin or any other method? I only read awhile back that there had been movement on the bitcoin account or something.
