Hi all — I’m new here and have been following this case closely because I really hope Nancy is found alive and well. I’ve found the discussion here very informative, and apologies if this has already been discussed.

One thing that stood out to me from the porch footage is the suspect’s silhouette. The FBI has confirmed the individual is male. He appears to have a notably wide hip area along with a wide stance and minimal knee bend when picking up the lantana. Together these features create a distinctive outline that someone who knows him might recognize even without seeing his face. Just an observation.

I totally agree, people have their own unique way of standing and moving. Somebody could recognize him from that alone. But would a person think, 'no my family member/friend/co-worker would never do such a thing', and not turn the man in? Or did one or more people turn him in, but that tip is buried in the 18,000+ other tips they have received? MOO

Now I know this theory is a little out there but do you think it is possible that a terrorist organization recruited some illegal aliens to kidnap Nancy for ransom (due to Savannah's fame and wealth) so they could use the money to buy weapons for war? They were asking for millions after all.

Let me know if I am crazy.

Thank you — I agree. Even if someone recognizes him, they may hesitate or assume it couldn’t be that person. Hopefully any tips based on recognition are carefully reviewed. I just thought the silhouette might be distinctive enough that someone who knows him could notice.

I think it's two different individuals. The guy without the backpack, his jacket looks like it has a design on it. Camouflage, maybe? The guy with the backpack, his jacket was different. No design. MOO.

To me it looks like dark spots on his jacket. I am hoping that is not blood. If they were able to get nest cam footage after the camera was disconnected at 1:47 a.m. this could be sometime around or after 2:12 a.m. Maybe while the perp was in the process of getting Nancy out of the front door. Notice how the doormat area is cropped out in this picture too.

The guy with no backpack has black on the side of his shoes while the other doesn't. Same build though. Pockets might be different on the pants. One seems to have side entry to the pockets but can't tell on the other pants. The head shape seems a bit different on the guy with no backpack, possibly a longer forehead and possibly a bit taller - not sure. Definitely a pattern (camo?) on the one jacket but the other jacket seems solid color.

I initially wondered about that. I'm a jewelry artist and it's on my bucket list to attend the Tucson Gem Show. I think I'll be able to next year. My hope is NG is found safe and that the case is solved by then. I'm not optimistic, but I'd love to be wrong.

I am curious, what color do you believe that holster to be? I had seen this one (which does sell from Walmart), which was made of black polyester and polyester lights up like it's electrified under IR light (white). The strap and shape also fit within the style. I'd like to know what details you see to be different, just for my own knowledge base and to search around. I don't find others like this one, though I am sure ebay has them. ( I don't buy cheap holsters, so have no frame of reference).

These type of universal holsters and clones have been around since the 70s. Is it possible this is one he bought from Walmart, sure, but it's a very common generic pattern and other brands very similar to it are currently sold. Nothing distinguishable about it, as generic as it gets. Over the decades many companies have made and discontinued clones of that.

They all have belt loops and an adjustable safety strap with a snap. No way of matching a common patterned "universal" revolver holster nor confirm it's color (they all are usual poly or cordura nylon) in the IR glow of poor Nest cam footage. Though if it's just IR glow off the poly that is reflecting why is the edge trim and safety strap contrasting in black?

Just as there is no way to confirm from that footage that he even has a real gun in there (which could be why he has a semi in a revolver holster). I still don't understand why he felt the need for a belt loop holster at all, especially if it was mismatched to his gun (he could have just "Mexican carried" or used a proper conceal carry method with more effectiveness) but it is one of the "lost in translation" aspects of his get-up. Reminds me of the investigators saying they found a glove that visually matched the one he's wearing (oh, the dime-a-dozen nitrile or latex disposable glove in popular black that probably 1000s of workers use in the greater Tucson area?) Look I get what they are doing but even getting some match in this needle in a haystack is hardly a definitive connection.
