Nancy Guthrie disappearance: Trump rips tech disclosures
President Donald Trump slammed investigators for disclosing the high-tech used in the ongoing search for Nancy Guthrie.

I agree with him that the sniffer detection for the pacemaker shouldn't have been revealed but didn't he just state to the world a few days ago that Nancy's kidnapper(s) would get the death penalty if she was harmed?

Revealing both of those things is not wise and could potentially hurt the chance of recovering Nancy, alive or deceased.

I hope there's another explanation for that helicopter, because if not, it's a very bad sign

Oh I mean I was more worried about the public in Mexico stopping looking for her is all. I think if this is ever solved it is going to be a private citizen or a group like here doing some digging.
In my opinion, the likelihood that anyone outside of groups focused on the disappeared (such as Madres Buscadoras de Sonora) would help search for NG in Mexico is very low. The Sonoran desert is vast, and if there happened to be a cartel connection, the fear of what could happen to average citizens who push back or report is greater than any desire to help.

I wouldn't chalk it up to a lack of humanity, or a dislike of the US, but when you live in a smaller town that is dominated by criminal activity, or that exists in the periphery of it, survival is very much a priority.

IMO there are many viable theories of what possibly happened to Nancy and who the responsible party could be for her disappearance which have been posited by many astute members and discussed. Full disclosure, I’m woefully behind many pages and apologies if the following theory has already been posited. I tried conducting a search on the thread but couldn’t find what I was looking for.

Anyhoo, lately I’ve been wondering if perhaps the perp responsible for Nancy’s disappearance is a former employee that got fired from the Today Show and blamed/perceived Savannah was responsible. I’m not thinking any of her past co-anchors necessarily rather, a lower level staffer that worked behind the scenes i.e., cameraman, lighting staff, writer, editor, stylist (wardrobe, hair, makeup etc.), casting, food planner/runner, and/or etc.

I understand SG’s worked for NBC Today Show for 14 years. That’s a good many years during which some behind the scenes employees might have been let go/fired. I’m not talking about someone SG fired (not sure she’d even have the authority to fire backstage employees, I would think that’s a studio executive’s job/decision) but perhaps a mentally unbalanced backstage staffer who maybe perceived it was SG’s fault they got let go, and possibly has been stewing/holding a grudge for several years over it.
In this scenario, Savannah’s not aware the person blamed her for losing their job. Perhaps they decided it was too risky to try to harm SG, her children or husband due to them having security around them, so decided to get revenge by harming a much more isolated, vulnerable relative of SG, her beloved Mother. They’d likely be aware SG and her Mother were very close and that taking her Mother away from her would cause SG a lot of pain and torture not knowing what happened to or where her Mother is. :(

Perhaps an outlier theory but imo a possibility as we know so very little.
IMO anything’s possible and nothing would surprise me in this crazy, complex case. *sigh*

#FindNancy 🤞🙏 🤞

IMHO
I certainly had wondered whether Nancy's keys would have been unattanded and accessible by crew during filming.

While searching for bitelights, the top Google result (for me) was Manhattan Wardrobe Supply. And that got me thinking, could this person be familiar with this site? Do wardrobe/hair/makeup people regularly use bitelights? Was disguising makeup purchased?

Am I correct in saying that Nancy was on camera in both the NYC studio and in Tucson?

I feel like it is going to be a long time to get any answers. My hope is dwindling. I have been so consumed by this case and all of the ups and downs have been mentally exhausting. Feeling discouraged this morning! Someone help revive my hope!!!
Keep the faith ❤️ I believe a real amount of progress has been made and we're just in a different phase of things. It’s just a matter of time now. All it takes is one mistake. I believe the perp has already made more than one. We don’t know everything going on behind the curtain atm but yeah, they’re gonna catch this SOB and get Nancy back to her family.

Are they there due to info/Intel or just as a precaution?

I threw together a quick and dirty YT short on a possible shoe match: Ecco Golf LT1.

I'm very aware that IR light can mess with colors (e.g., the shoe could be all black), but this particular model seems to align in more ways that one.

Could be interesting if the guy was wearing golf shoes. Obvously, I'm not a golfer (obligatory Lebowski), so I have no idea of why one would wear a spikeless golf shoe while not golfing. Do you think this could be the shoe?

I had found and posted the Scandinavian-brand softshell that matched what he had on seemingly precisely. If he was wearing that and also a Danish brand of shoes (which Ecco is) … could be random or could be interesting.

I know many here believe that this was a planned kidnapping, as does the sheriff apparently, but from a behavioral standpoint, this does not look like a carefully designed and executed kidnapping. The person on camera approached alone, carried a backpack like someone expecting a quick theft, and awkwardly tried to block the doorbell with weeds instead of disabling it properly. He could have just as easily spray painted the camera, as anything else.

That points to an opportunistic, low-level offender, not a coordinated abduction team. There was no ransom note at the scene, no organized extraction, and no visible counter-surveillance. Everything about the approach appears improvised rather than strategic, suggesting someone who expected a fast in-and-out situation.

A professional kidnapper would typically plan in advance, avoid obvious cameras, coordinate transportation, control the scene quickly, and minimize exposure time. They would operate with discipline and precision, not hesitation. It is very possible Nancy was targeted, but not for ransom.

A more plausible explanation is that the offender had some prior familiarity with her, felt comfortable approaching her home, and intended a burglary. When she confronted him, fear of being recognized may have triggered panic. Inexperienced offenders often make impulsive decisions in that moment, focused on immediate self-preservation rather than long-term planning.

That kind of chaotic escalation fits the known behavior far better than a calm, mastermind-style kidnapping.

Of course...MOO

It could just be to substantially eliminate this location as a possibility.

I’m curious how you came to look at golf shoes? I’m wondering if you were attempting to make it fit a certain person or just happened upon them?
I don't really have a firm explanation. Only that he gave me "golfer vibes," and that's why I narrowed the search. I certainly don't know any golfing suspects! Seems way out of left field, but who knows.

SNIFFER ALERT!
Sniffer is currently out and really focusing on this landfill at the moment. Flying as slow as 27 kts (the slowest i've seen it all week). They also flew straight from the airport to this area. Earlier in the week it was flying random circles in various areas. This a very deliberate in this effort. IMO

Oh no. Hope they're just covering all their bases/checking and not searching there based on a credible tip or anything... 😞

A landfill would be an extremely logical place to search.

Could you link it again here? Sorry for being lazy.

They don’t expect to see, they are using the signal sniffer for the pacemaker. IMHO
I thought in previous days, it was discussed on here that the signal detector had to be just a few feet off the ground, and that a helicopter would be too high?

I don’t know (obviously), but wonder - if they had intel - would they use the helicopter in the air with a sniffer, or cadaver dogs on the ground instead? Not sure how those dogs do at landfills, particularly three weeks in.

Praying NG is found and recovered.

After all this time, she may be in a landfill. Pressure may have become too much for the perps. Probably quite early on in the investigation.
Wouldn't losing her out in the vast desert be even better for them than a landfill?

Unfortunately, a landfill would be a perfect dumping ground, because the inherent odors will easily mask...you know.
