I see what you are saying. The non backpack guy seems to be a little rounder in the middle and may be making the jacket fit different? Those do look like different shoes to me.

Could these be two different people that just dressed the same?

We are seeing LE actively distance themselves from the two separate days theory.

Why would LE say "this didn't come from us" instead of simply confirming the photos were from two separate days?

We have no idea how much all these devices have stored of our conversations, videos of us and so on. I think they proabably have quite a bit but wouldn't want to the public to know just how much we are spied on by our phones, alexa, smart devices etc. I have always been creeped out when people say "Big Brother is Watching you always" but if it solves this case *shrugs*

This brings up something I've never thought of before, but may have been discussed here in the past: did she have an Echo/Alexa device somewhere in the house. JMO/MOO

In that image without the backpack, it almost looks like he’s looking at the camera, are we thinking this could have been a test run? He could have been watching Nancy during the day to see if there was any sign she’d noticed him on her cameras and called the police? Or he could have been testing a signal jammer the night before?

Yes, so he knew the camera was there if this was from a day before but to go back a different night and be surprised that the camera is on , tells me that SOMEONE knew NG wasn’t paying to have the Nest camera and when the light went on he knew he had to cover it so he looked around at plants (of all things, i would not think plants, would YOU?) and then he moved slowly(pot head?) and not a knee jerk reaction (like a Meth head would) like WTF, and looked for something to cover it. BUT the person has to have had plant knowledge to know lantana is sticky and could maybe stick to the camera! Fishy alllllll the way around

Or, maybe in the one without the backpack, that was their entire outfit, but in the one where they have the backpack, they came with a layer of clothing underneath to change into on the run.

I have a Nest doorbell cam - the light that shows it is recording is just a pinpoint light... would be easy to miss from that distance. As you move closer to the camera within range of being able to press the doorbell, the lower half of the camera lights up the doorbell button... it's a circle button about 2" or slightly less in diameter and the bright white light goes along the circumference of the circle.

And asking for a friend , I SWEAR I saw other pictures the first day these were released, but I didn't bother to download because I thought I could do it later. But when I went back, those images I thought I had seen were gone. Does anyone else recall seeing other images back at the beginning?

I have a question for the sleuthers. Let’s just pretend for a moment that there is NO ransom ( faux or real)

If we look at this from the angle that there is nothing else known other than NG last seen approximate timeline, potential POIs raids , recovered Nest doorbell video, and the immediate family being publicly cleared …. What do you see, believe, or feel? Take away motive… what’s the intent?

The intent was a rape and murder of a vulnerable female. As I've posted many times, I've followed a retired FBI Profiler for quite some time. Before NG was taken, the profiler had stated that when an elderly female who lives alone is raped/murdered, it's more often than not, a neighbor's teenage son.

Since we learned today that the 2 photos of the porch perp were taken on separate nights, I'm more persuaded than ever that this is the case here. This dude lives close to NG's home. He has been able to conduct surveillance easily because of this. Who knows how long he watched her?

I'm going to get a bit graphic here, so please don't read any further if you'd rather not.

I believe that he went inside NG's home and raped her. She knew him because he was one of her neighbor's sons. This is why he wasn't going to leave the house with her still alive, and he certainly wasn't leaving her body behind, which contained evidence.

By the time NG was reported missing, she was no longer alive. He has disposed of her body in the desert. When/if her remains are recovered, she won't be far from home. And it's all so very, very sad.

Not sure about this second picture but did notice the neck of the jacket was different, right off. I think the mask is not tucked in to the jacket on the previous visit and is tucked in to the jacket on the night he took Nancy. If it's not a manipulated picture. jmo

She took an Uber to her daughter's for dinner, and her son in law, or both, drove her home. Then she was alone. Her birthday was a couple days later.
