I’m sorry, BUT two different days??? After the 1st time I’d be packing(things and guns) planning a move , and ready to rain a hail of hellllll on anyone who would come back! This is UNACCEPTABLE and this country should be up in arms over this!
The COUNTRY should be up in arms about what? 🤔

The sheriff is doing the same thing he did with the cameras being busted, and there being forced entry - he's saying "that didn't come from us," but isn't denying the veracity of those details.
He definitely wants the perp to think that it’s extremely important information that he didn’t want released.

spoiler he wanted it released

Still look similar enough to be the same person imo. One photo the suspects legs are apart and the other the legs are together and under the body. Could explain the slightest difference. I don't think there's anything substantial enough to claim it's two separate people.
JMO

I agree it could be the same man. I just think because the image without the backpack is cropped and looks like it is slightly at an angle compared to the other footage it is making me think it's possibly two different people with slight height/weight differences.

I think it looks like the same jacket but with what looks like some spots in various spots throughout. Pants look similar and his leg length as well.

Thanks for your perspective.

Dramatic twist in Nancy Guthrie case as sheriffs arrive at neighbor’s home

The hunt for Nancy Guthrie has now officially reached its fourth week. On the 22nd day of searching for Nancy Guthrie, deputies from the Pima County Sheriff's Office arrived at her next-door neighbor's residence. What they're seeking remains unknown at this point.

KVOA News first documented footage showing three law enforcement officers examining the exterior of the adjacent property. This follows revelations from a former FBI agent who disclosed a covert phrase that Savannah included in her communication to the abductors.

I don't think there is anything new, but this was recent. JMO

I wish this was worded more clearly. Wonder which covert phrase sg said in the videos that they are referring to?

BE just said on News Nation that they believe 1st pic was from "DAYS" before. If so, that blows my idea of same nighttime mission. It also means that Porch guy dressed in his garb at least twice, which is weird if he was just snooping the first time. JMO

Is it possible the perp somehow knew she didn’t have the Nest subscription and therefore wasn’t too worried about being recorded? This of course would mean though that it’s someone who knows her or someone she’s close with personally.
Still though, why cover it with lantana if you know the video won’t be saved? Nothing makes sense any way you look at this.

CBS 5 reporter's tweet. So she is saying law enforcement sources have confirmed, although apparently no one on the record or by name.

Multiple law enforcement sources have confirmed to us these two pictures of Nancy Guthrie’s alleged abductor were taken on different days - suggesting the kidnapper had visited the house prior to when she was abducted.

The removal of her from the house is so difficult to figure out.

Could also be if she was injured or died in the home, from shock or a struggle, they might have hoped they would buy time by her not talking, or being viewed as having wandered off.

Unless they intended from the beginning to kidnap for ransom, but then couldn't provide proof of life.
I agree! I keep struggling with that. I looked at it from a different direction tonight. At the article linked below, I was surprised by the statistics. Without discussing the specific crime committed, if a body disposal was preplanned 78% of the time, it was either on the killer's property, in their neighborhood, or somewhere else well known to them. If the disposal wasn't preplanned, the total number found in those 3 locations was still 70%. So heavily favored that if you don't know who your killer is, the body is most likely to be discovered by a passerby than LE.

Those statistics have forced me to drop my idea that only a crazy person would take a body away with them instead of leave it and get the heck out of Dodge. Clearly criminals don't think so. So, if she was kidnapped and died, they probably had a disposal plan and may never be found. If she died in a home invasion, they might not have had a plan, but chances of finding her remains are marginally better.

Bottom line, if they are unable to ID anyone from the evidence at the scene, and there is no further contact, I fear finding NG could take anywhere from a long time to never. I'm sure LE already knows these statistics, and is planning and working accordingly. It just occurred to me how much it must suck to know the statistics on a crime like this, and be hoping against hope you can make a difference this time. It must be awful. MOO

Jumping in after missing many posts -- if the "different day" footage was from earlier than 11pm the night she was taken, why wasn't the video overwritten when the three hours had elapsed? MOO
I have mentioned this before, but it was a while back. Data gets marked for deletion, but doesn't necessarily get deleted right then. Instead a sector just has an "OK to delete" flag on it. This allows it to be written over with other information, but it doesn't mean it IS written over with other information. If you have an image, it is not always stored in the same sector or block. If you look at it like a grid that is 4 wide by 4 deep, section A1, B4 and C2 all have PART of the video. It may or may not be stored all together. If that video is marked for deletion, something else can overwrite part or all of that video. Say another image overwrote part of B4. Part of the video is still on A1 and C2 and maybe some on B4. That can be that way for WEEKS or even months. All of that is my expereince. The part that they are saying had never been tried on Google Nest video from a non subscription camera is where really talented people can get these bits and pieces and put them back together to make something that looks cohesive. It's not an easy trick.

I know this can be done with normal data (documents, some images, etc) from my own experience restoring damaged documents and images. Videos, because they are so large, would be harder to track down all the parts and put them back together, IMO.

My thoughts/questins on the reports that one still pic was from an earlier date than the morning of NG’s disappearance…
1) ABC & CBS & BE & KOLD are all saying almost the same thing - a source told them - though some say a source close to the investigation and at least one says a law enforcement source - most say that Nanos said that info did not come from the sheriff department or the FBI - most say they reached out to FBI but FBI had no comment - according to one poster above ABC Nightly News was the exception to this and said the FBI confirmed it
2) What are the chances that all of these news reports being so similar? Doesn’t it seem odd they say almost the same way? Is it possible only one of them actually spoke to a source and the rest are reporting it as their own?
3) What are the chances that all of a sudden multiple sources either in LE or familiar with the case speak to these various news outlets on the same day more than a week after the vids & pics were released?
4) What are the chances that a single source decided to contact multiple news agencies on the same day to tell them all the same thing? Or did said source just hold a mini-press conference and tell them all at once?
5) I wish I would have seen the ABC Nightly News as I am curios whether the anchor or a field reporter is the one who said the FBI confirmed it. Who at the FBI? Was the source an FBI agent who wasn’t supposed to be speaking for them?
6) FBI Director KP said on the 10th they were all from the morning NG disappeared - though one poster above commented that if they were different dates it was that they thought one was before midnight but same event - I tend to agree with that poster but don’t really have a good reason for thinking that lol
7) Was KP misinformed? Was he mistaken? Was he lying?
8) Why would they not disclose that info the day the pics & vids were released? Why won’t they officially confirm or deny it now? And why no timestamp? I’m not familiar with Nest but my Ring would have time stamp - and no I don’t have a current subscription either but I still have a timestamp - does Nest not do that?
9) Is it possible they only found out themselves that it was a different day today? If so does that give us some hope that more info might still be being found from that camera?
10) Why is that nothing - NOTHING - in this case makes sense?

it also looks like something is wrong with his right hand or perhaps he is holding something?

And I wonder what this is or is it just part of his hair or mask? It just seems to curl a certain way

This to me is completely unacceptable as far as, was anyone watching her cameras? Why would she have cameras and NOT have them connected to the service? We have cameras and we will look to see every day what showed up , animal or delivery etc. WAY TOO MANY homes in that Neighborhood have had people on their porches in the MIDDLE of the night! I’d move out of that neighborhood if I lived there! This is nutts!
This is such a good question. So do we know which night they attempted to cover the camera. Even without a subscription, would Nancy have gotten an alert that motion was detected and been able to check it?? I'm so confused.

I have no idea, but the phrase "you are not alone", struck me as a phrase that was oddly worded and did not flow naturally with the statement. JMO

Where is the video from Nancy's roof camera? The Feds had taken down

Did Nancy have a camera in the garage?

The roof camera will show Nancy being dropped off that night, if she entered through the garage

As well as whether there were any other intruders that night, and a getaway vehicle

And if Nancy came out of the house or ambushed at the door

The LE would have no problem getting the footage straight away from Google in a serious crime

So they would have it and are not disclosing

To me, it seems like a contracted targeted attack, going through their premeditated plan

Is it possible he was testing whether or not the camera would trigger a response, No police called = no subscription.

I really can’t think of too many murder for hire plots where the hitman took and disposed of a body. But i’m actually starting to believe it might actually be reasonable here.

Makes more sense than some theories i’ve entertained tbh

ETA : And it would definitely lead to more complexity solving the case. Simple but a lot of circumstantial evidence to acquire even if you could get someone to talk. You’d still have to chase down the details.
