1500 new tips at last count. Makes me wonder about the people are who turning in tips. Friends? Relatives? Neighbors? Co-workers? Guesses are most w/o evidence other than, "Check 'em out for my million."
How are you finding out how many new tips?

Why would they keep it this long? Is it because it was the last vehicle that she rode in (that we know of)?
You would think that they would have thoroughly processed it by now.
That is concerning if I am being honest.
Wow!

We still have not been told if it was a forced entry or not

True. "Forced entry" was from AB's source. The source was right about Nancy having nest cameras and that there was more than one.

bbm Please explain to me how someone can call anonymously with a tip or even the stalker's name and STILL receive a reward? I just don't understand that. How do you find the tipster to reward them if they call in anonymously? moo

Anonymous tiplines & rewards?

The link below is not the tipline you are referencing, but likely operates in a similar way. Reward amts below are different from the Guthrie case. I added red.

"How Does 88-CRIME Work?

"The 88-CRIME tip line takes anonymous tips on serious criminal activity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your identity is kept anonymous, we do not record the call and your caller id is not given. When you call, 1-520-882-7463 you are assigned a confidential tip number and passcode, and your tip information is forwarded to the appropriate investigating law enforcement agency. As the tipster, provide as much detailed information as possible about the crime and the suspect(s) involved including the suspect’s name, age or date of birth, and address. Videos and images can also be attached to mobile and web tips. Follow-up on your tips by logging into the P3Tips application with your confidential tip number and passcode. By clicking on the “Dialog” tab, you can ask any questions and update your tip.

"If your information leads to an arrest and the investigating law enforcement agency notifies 88-CRIME that your tip solved a serious crime or led to a felon’s arrest, then you may be eligible for a reward amount ranging from $50 up to $2,500. Rewards are calculated based on the severity of the crime and the number of charges."

Wow to my concern or Wow because you are also concerned?
I am not accusing I am just surprised that they have kept it this long. Do you have a valid innocent reason why they would?
I really hope you do.

I would love to hear your take on Briana Whitney saying that they still have AG's car because it's part of the investigation.
They may just be holding it until test results come back. It’s not like the family is going to be clamoring to have it back.

In this video report of today's flurry of activities the guest commentator, Stuart Kaplan (criminal defense attorney and former FBI), says from his experience the car that went into the garage could have been either a witness or family member.

Those look like prosecutors. My guess is that L.E. has gone to the prosecutor's office and requested the filing of charges or applied for some type of search warrant. The prosecutors are undecided, maybe wanting more information, and thought maybe going to scene to look at something or get a better idea of the layout might help inform their decision or bolster their argument. Just a guess. But I can think of no reason that a whole group of some other types of lawyers -- defense attorneys, plaintiff attorneys, estate attorneys, etc. -- would be huddling at the crime scene at this stage.
Seriously though, I’d be shocked and stumped if this was another nothing burger. I can’t think of another instance where prosecutors have toured a crime scene when there’s no concrete evidence or arrest pending…

The funny thing about that is Sheriff Nanos said he doesn't eliminate people because what if he clears someone and evidence comes back that they were involved. He used this analogy when talking about CP when a reporter asked if he was cleared.
So when he cleared the family I was confident in that.
I am just confused about them continuing to hold on to that car.
Thanks for answering though. I value your opinion.

2002 Charles Russell and Catherine Nelson disappeared in Tucson. Arrest made in Feb, 2026 - after 24 years! 2004 Charles Simmons, well-known Tucson mineral dealer, disappeared. Never found. Tucson's disappearances aren't new crimes.
I hear you but I was actually referring to the 1970’s-80’s! I should have been clearer!

Let's say they are real close to arresting a suspect (not family). Would they maybe keep that car for the investigation so a defense attorney/appointed defense attorney could also test that car in the future? Since it is claimed that that is the last car that she was in.
