Could be...I just so much hope that it wasn't for that reason. yecchMy feeling is, and I hate saying this, that it was a sexual predator.

There’s always someone to prey on the vulnerableA lot more of that goes on in nursing homes than is reported.

Six women. Three nursing homes. And the man accused of rape and abuse
She is 53 and trapped in a facility for the old. Her left arm hangs limply at her side; in the right she cradles a baby doll she named Little Missy. Saliva drips from the corner of her mouth as she talks about her invisible boyfriend.www.cnn.com
But there are lots of easier marks than NG was.....jmoThere’s always someone to prey on the vulnerable
That's what I've thought from the beginning. My feeling is, and I hate saying this, that it was a sexual predator.
I like your thinking and your theory, the only extra point is that I think she was taken to the desert the first night ( died), sorry to say. That's what I've thought from the beginning.
I think all the ransom stuff is bogus, opportunists.
I think this was someone who wanted to attack and take an elderly lady. I don't think he necessarily even knew who she was, besides a woman living alone. He could live close, or could work in the area - tradesman, delivery driver, postal worker, landscaper, etc. etc. He's probably like the wallpaper, someone that wouldn't stick out.
I think she died the night of, or soon after, and her body has been stored, possibly in a freezer. Maybe because he wants to keep it, but probably because he was in no way expecting the intense media and LE presence. The whole county is like a kicked ant nest. Disposal would be very difficult right now.

Very telling...People Magazine:
"Nancy’s home was not returned to the family today. Sheriff Nanos released it to the Guthrie family and announced it two days after Nancy’s disappearance. It was never out of the family’s possession: The Sheriff’s Department"
I think it depends how long he wanted to keep her, or her body.I like your thinking and your theory, the only extra point is that I think she was taken to the desert the first night ( died), sorry to say.
How so?But there are lots of easier marks than NG was.....jmo
How?Very telling...
There might be something different afoot than what was told to the public the other day. How?
It was, that night, before sunrise. jmoI think it depends how long he wanted to keep her, or her body.
Given that he didn't just attack her in her home but went to the trouble of taking her, that suggests he wanted to take his time with her.
It's possible that the desert was the plan, but by then it was all over the news and he had to change it up.
He could have thought that she was just a random woman, and that leaving the door open would just lead people to think she'd wandered off.
Instead, he's taken the much beloved mother of a much beloved presenter of morning television, and it's international news. And messing with the cameras meant that this was treated as an abduction from the start.
A quiet drive out to the desert for disposal is suddenly not an option.

What's it telling you? i always believed the house was no longer a restricted crime scene after the first couple of days. I was never quite sure why people thought that LE still had dominion over it. So, what is it telling you?Very telling...
How were they so quickly able to identify and dismiss the car with a screaming woman but they don't know anything about NGs kidnapper?More on the 911 call:
The gist:
Jacob Owens a journalist from KVOA News 4 Tucson, took to X to report, "Here near the end of Day 25 into the search for 84 year-old Nancy Guthrie. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos tells me that a 911 call from the night of Guthrie's abduction, about a woman hanging out a car window a few miles from her home and screaming, was found to be NOT related."

Nancy Guthrie cops drop concerning update on 911 call reporting ‘woman hanging out of car'
In a disturbing update, it has been revealed that a "chilling" 911 call was made to police on the night Nancy Guthrie disappeared.www.aol.com
It was, but that would mean he'd only have her for a couple of hours at most, once you factor in driving time from her home to a secondary location, then out and back from the dump site before dawn. That's a lot of work for not much time with her.It was, that night, before sunrise. jmo
I did a dive looking at some of these former cases in Tucson. There are a few, and I couldn’t find arrests in first one. There’s always someone to prey on the vulnerable
