Would be a good ending, but AZ has a death penalty. I think he'll remain quiet, go on with his life as normal.

Clearly he's unstable. Whoever he is and whatever his motive. He kidnapped an 84 y.o lady. I dont think he is capable of a normal life. Certainly, not for long. He probably has NEVER had a "normal" life. I am NOT ruling out that NG is still alive. Maybe 20% chance. I do not believe murder was his plan. Blood thinners and injury could do her in but I dont think he planned to murder her...JMO

My guess is in the jostling to get her to be compliant and out of the house, she got an elbow to the nose by the perp. So, something along those lines..jmo
I think it was a deliberate blow to the face, yes the nose. Either delivered by elbow or fist. Somewhere close to the front door? LE would see the blood trail and know where the blow was initially delivered?

NEW VIDEO SHOWS TRAFFIC ON MORNING OF KIDNAPPING... FBI Discounts It

3:37 PM PT -- A source connected to the investigation tells TMZ ... the FBI has looked at the video and says it's a dead end ... the area where the cars are driving as well as the ingress and egress has led the Agency to the conclusion the cars have no association with the kidnapping.

I found a route on Google maps that would take 8 minutes (there are also shorter routes) avoiding the main road and just crossing Campbell, rather than driving on it at any point, to reach the reported area of this camera. It goes through all the side streets where it appears from Google satellite view to be pretty low house density with lots of open areas.

The route: Escalante, Zorella, Mina Vista, La Brinca (crosses Campbell here), Piedra Seca, Juan Paisano, Real (road where camera is).

This route would take 8 minutes according to Maps. 236-8=228. So the timeline fits almost perfectly.

It seems at first an odd route, until you realize that so many of these side streets end up back at Campbell, and I am operating under the assumption that the perp(s) would want to avoid that main road in this immediate vicinity.

It's one thing to be "caught" on camera on East River Rd at 240-245 along with hundreds of other cars, but you wouldn't want to be caught on Campbell right in Nancy's neighborhood at 2:30 or 2:32 or whatever, so it would stand to reason you would go out of your way to avoid the main roads until you were far enough away.

The route I suggested above also crosses Campbell in a place that looks from Google Maps to be quite empty/remote in terms of anyone seeing. No traffic light, thus no possibility of a traffic camera being there. Check out the intersection of Campbell and Camina Brinca. Nobody will see a thing. There's also basically nothing for most of this route on Piedra Seca.

Also, looking at the longer version of the video, it seems that a car only goes by this camera on Camino Real about once an hour or so. This is crucial, IMO.

Between 00:30 or so and 2:36 it's just this one car, heading south, exactly 8 minutes away from Nancy's house. Then nothing else for more than another hour.

That is, at a minimum, one heck of a coincidence.

Finally, one of the locals in the article mentions Escuela as potentially even better than Real for avoiding detection. IMO, by the time the perps were on Real (in the scenario I laid out above) judging by Google Maps the benefits of Escuela are about the same as Real. Plus Real is a straighter shot to East River Rd and being out of there.

It COULD also mean that by taking Real and not Escuela they intended to head East on East River Rd OR turned East onto additional connecting backroads someplace between Real and East River.
Excellent work! Thank you for that. Yes, avoiding street cams/ other cams would be crucial IMO. I’d like to see a local driving that route and report back about any visible street cams or traffic light cams.

Shaking my head in relative disbelief about LE possibly discounting a more remote access/ egress route. If a local took NG, that would be an optional route, no doubt IMO.

Again, thank you ‘Cats Against Crime’ (you like cats..?)

Cheers,
Nin

I guess this can be taken at face value, or not. One never knows during an investigation.

Which route would he have taken from NG’s house to get to I10 for example with the least amount of exposure? It’s late at night, dark. Thoughts?

Was NG punched in the face?
That's what I think .. that she started to yell and they hit her in the mouth / nose, that's why the spray and drops. But that's just my opinion

Thank you. I think what I am looking for is the video that actually shows the trail. Was it one of BEs videoas?
I found the following video, it's short tho.

Maybe you can find more if you search on the blue sweater instead of blood trail.
(Blue sweater was not related to Nancy btw)

Sheriff Nanos handled this press conference so well.

This sounds a bit ominous. LE is processing the house. SAR teams are searching for her which we will probably see escalated today on a larger scale. He mentioned checking hospitals for her a few times which is normal but it also seems like a legitimate thought that she could have ended up in one. Of course, none of this sounds good for an 84 year old woman missing from her home for over 24 hours. Darn. IMO

My post way back on page 1, Feb 2nd.

I would like to listen to that interview Sheriff Nanos gave again. IRRC he was outside. It was long and he talked a lot. It was likely one of his first public statements on the case. I want to go back in time to the very beginning. IMO

The link no longer works. Can anyone find and share it again?

is it likely then, that the FBI has something else that definitively leads them to beliebe which route the person took?

I posted the same but from a MSM source. I understood it to be a RING camera a couple of streets over?? I hope those cars, especially at those time frames would be thoroughly investigated.

I get deja vu from the responding LE officers actually passing J Closs's kidnapper on the road from her house with her in the trunk, which was never investigated. Thank goodness her story had a happy ending with her returning home alive. Still hoping the same for Nancy.

Everyone keeps commenting about how dark it was there with no street lights - like it’s the worse thing ever. This isn’t uncommon for a lot of homes in the US. I live in an outer area of Dallas, Texas. Very rural. No streetlights. Homes on acre lots with fields behind me and across the street. I love seeing all the planes and stars at night. Do I have cameras and a big dog? Yes. Have I always - no. Been here 18 years.
My point here I guess is that a lot of people live in dark areas with no streetlights and we live just fine. It’s not unusual for this lifestyle. JMO

Idk? That's part of the break down in my mind that I can't understand. Was motive money or cruelty?
In Nov 2025, Savannah did a Today segment on her roots to Tucson, letting viewers in on her personal life growing up prior to becoming famous TV "celebrity". Christmas time 205, Nancy posted on facebook (public to anyone to see) a family image of Tucson holidays celebration photo of matching pjs. I think perp of 2/1/26 crime of Nancy may be an obsessed fan of Savannah that went out of plan, and I believe that LE is narrowing in on potential crazy guy. I think it's a one maybe 2 man job by someone who knew that there was lots of time to commit crime- knew Nancy's typical routine late Sat night and early Sunday morning prior to church online events. No random person on the planet would remove 84 year old woman from her house without some sort of benefit to them or some sort of result to a crime. There's no proof of burglary. No proof of Nancy planning to make fianancial changes that affect her beneficiaries. I don't think Nancy is alive. I think Guthrie family want their Mom's body returned or whereabouts known so they can continue grief cycle and celebrate their incredible Mom.

Like Delphi's Bridge Guy, I surely hope not. They had video of him as well, far less disguised than this offender for 5+ years.

Thank you @Sessiebo this one is not it. They were not talking abduction/kidnapping yet. I'm almost certain it was from news station KVOA. I'm not sure why they took it down, if they did. I'll keep looking. IMO

Idk, This entire ordeal is starting to give me Matthew D. Muller vibes, specifically that LE may be dealing with someone with a semi-similar life experience and/or professional background.
Idk, …it’s a head scratcher moo
