If you’re out to abduct someone (or worse), a tiny keyring light in your mouth is probably the least of your worries. It also reduces the chance of the light falling out and of saliva falling out. Would explain the odd misalignment between flashlight and mouth, too. Just a theory.

The IR video isn’t sharp and may blur out the mesh but I’m wondering if a mask wouldn’t be brighter under IR – more like the ski mask. Not sure!
What is this guy doing having a light in his mouth, covering it with DNA and then having to take it out at some point? The fact that he is using this mouth light and not a head light around his head makes no sense to me.

What this suggests to me is that he wasn't likely a hiker or an outdoors person who would have the need for a light as the sun starts setting.

It would never have occurred to me to use a flashlight in my mouth, and that makes me think that this is somebody who might put a flashlight in their mouth when working in a small dark place and they might be in a profession that would use a mouth light.

I think he wanted minimal amounts of light. Not enough to be noticeable from across the street. Otherwise, a head torch would have better. They’re way too bright, though.
I agree and he has more immediate control of the bite lite versus head light which requires more steps and time to shut off.

This mask seems like it would fit. The mouth has a small slit to breath or carry a tiny light in. The folds on the eyelids almost match the perps photos too if you zoom in and compare side by side. JMO

Ewwwww! So creepy!

Maybe it was hard to get a headlamp to stay on over the masks? Or without distorting the masks?

Head light: too bright. If he takes the thing out only when he has left the house, no DNA at the scene. If the tiny bite light (really a keyring light with the key ring removed) is under a thin mask, less chance of dripping any saliva or the light falling out.

I've heard sniffers are attached to drones, as they have to be close to the ground to detect any signal from a pacemaker. Can't remember how far away. MOO
It has been reported that THIS sniffer, because it uses an amplifier, must be within 800-1,000 ft of the pacemaker to detect the signal.

A couple ex FBI LE have said they think it won't be shocking, and that it probably won't be someone 'new' in the case. Not sure what that means. MOO
...don't be surprised(?) MOO

I think we might guess but not post.
Yes I heard that too from sources. That would be so very awful. Just praying LE gets their evidence on the person who did do this.
Poor Nancy!

Eyebrows are too big. There had to be two of them.

I do remember early on in the Delphi case, LE predicting it would not be some transient criminal, but would rather be someone within the community with a good reputation, so I guess they wound up being right.
I have a gut feeling that will be the case here too. JMO

I don't see the search warrants and detainment of Carlos and LD as an embarrassment on LE. They had enough information to be able to obtain the warrants which aren't given freely by a judge. MOO
Very true. Daughter of a retired Superior Court judge here.

Yes I think it is quite possible that people who worked on her home might later say to people, hey guess whose house I worked on this week? NG may have had pictures of her family, or from the TV show last year.

Most of us have family pictures around the house, awards, things we are proud of, etc.
Had my quarterly pest control service today. He noticed my husbands awards for LE service in our den and commented on his employment in the NBA. They definitely notice what you have in your house. Where your camera's are. Your house layout. And if you have pets.

Always check your window locks after you have a service person in your house. Door locks too. MOO

This is a good point. In my town a number of recent burglaries were of houses recently listed for sale. They may have attended open houses or figured out the layout from the photos.
This is exactly why you tell your realtor NO to any open houses

One of our locks broke on a 20 year old exterior door just a few days ago and it just got fixed this evening. I just wanted to show y’all how brazen people can be. I think some people think if they don’t ring the doorbell they won’t be recorded. This was just a solicitor in our neighborhood selling fiber for a network earlier today..not related to NG disappearance but I thought it was important from a
Safety perspective and I just wanted others to see. Lock your doors!!!
I agree you should lock your doors. In the solicitor's defense, I don't have a doorbell and people always open my storm door because my interior door has the door knocker on it. Perhaps he was used to doors like mine and didn't think anything of his action?

I had one even tinier (I think?), purchased at REI or Sierra. It was to be used as a zipper pull & SUPER bright! Meant for backpacking, climbing, etc., where size/weight were most important.

This is the house right next to NG's house.
I have lost track how many times they have been there. The male agent is the same guy that was inspecting the camera to the right of the garage about 2 weeks ago. Remember this is also the house that has the septic tank covers in the back of the property that LE removed and were inspecting the first 10 days.

Maybe the "signal sniffer" on the helicopter has picked up her pacemaker's signal

And that's why they still believe she's in the area

Hopefully, it's a miracle that Nancy is still alive

IMPORANTLY, a pacemaker can remain active for some time because it operates on an independent battery,

But it cannot make a dead heart beat.

I've always thought she'd be found nearby her house, but it'll be really something if they find her at the next door neighbor's property.
