For me, going back and watching the EC trial helped a lot. Then I had to do a memory refresher to get the cast of characters straight.....names and AKA's.

When Shanita directed LE to the gun parts along the road, that was a big fat nail in LL's coffin. They connected that gun to Mahato's murder with ballistics. That gives her testimony extreme credibility IMO.

I'm not seeing anything from the defense, not even a tiny dent in this case.

I kind of zoned out during the Colonial Apts shooting part. Are they implying that LL shot the Hispanic guy also?

"Love is the only person linking Lovette to the stolen Mercedes, which she says he was driving at the time of Mahato's death, and the Jan. 19, 2008, shooting of a Hispanic man. In that shooting, a 9 mm shell casing was fired from the same gun as the shell casing in Mahato's death.

The gun was never recovered. According to Love, Lovette said someone stole it from him."

OT: In today's news, a UNC professor died this morning after being assaulted by 2 young men during a robbery in a residential area at 1pm yesterday. It's like robbing and killing is becoming a sport in this area. Grrrrrrr - so tragic!

How sad it is for you all that live in that area.

We used to live in Lawrence, KS home of Kansas University - Jayhawks. It is starting to become crime infested, maybe not quite as bad as Chapel Hill. Roy Williams used to coach for KU- Jayhawks.

We don't live in Lawrence now, but just 20 minutes away. Actually we are right in between Lawrence and Kansas City which is worse. Murders there almost daily! imo

I thought that was what LE was implying, that LL and cohorts shot the guy to rob him.

SO DO I -- they's got one... I understand that they wouldn't put a dead body pic or an autopsy pic up there, but it's such a better pic for the jury. Little shiny 8x10's are not all that great for the jury to view unless they pass it around, further, someone has to parade it back & forth to them.

And didn't SL state that pieces of a gun were discarded during a car drive? Not sure if this is the 'stolen' gun or not. For some reason I thought LL was robbed of money he got from killing EC and 'needed' to buy another gun? I share the hurt hair follicles with this case.
