GUILTY NC - Danielle Locklear, 15, Hope Mills, 11 March 2014

Do we have access to the other facebook page to see this for ourselves?

IMVHO, the HLN shows can sometimes be a double edged sword. The exposure is invaluable. However, they are notorious for misinformation, and that can be damaging to open investigations. :moo:

If we had the URL for her other page, If inactive, we could search the google webcache ourselves. You bring up good points. Lack of social media activity in a 15 year old's life (or a change for that matter) is worrisome.

I linked both of her FB pages earlier in the thread but here I'll give the links, again.

Note: At some point in the past (at least as recent as 6/12), Danielle went by the last name of Dawson.

I wish they would call in CUE to help with searching. They're less than 2 hours away.

CUE;

They need authorization from family and LE. I hope someone advises them.

Yes, I know. That's why I said that I wished they would call CUE to help. CUE is an invaluable resource with trained professional search and rescue teams. They have K9 units, atv and mounted horse teams, etc. They train volunteers and do so much more -- all at no cost to the missing person's family or LE. NC is very blessed to have Monica Caison and Cue based in Wilmington.

I am wondering if she met an older "friend" online....and he convinced her to meet him. The mind goes wild thinking of all the possibilities. The clothes on the river bank bother me a lot.

Excellent. Hopefully if someone close to the family reads here they will pick up the link.

I, too, am very concerned about the clothes found on the creek/river bank...

without them as a clue... I would have "Run Away" (and therefore, more safe (IMO) as a possibility...

They spent days searching a field near Lazy Acres RV Park off Claude Lee Road, where one of her cell phone's last signals was detected, but found nothing.

http://www.fayobserver.com/news/local/article_d9c61071-1506-52db-84a4-cf173671a75e.html

In regards to this cell signal:

1) How precise of a location can this be pinpointed to? Anyone have an idea? In other words is this an exact pinpoint or a radius of a certain distance?

2) Could her cell have been tossed into a creek and maybe the current helped the phone make it's way to this location?

3) What would be a reason that a cell would be on and then be turned off besides someone turning it off or the battery dying? Could water damage cause a cell to turn off?
