Where does it say he was asked to identify the body? All I see is that they brought him in for questioning.

"Stone also said that Diana Keel's husband, Lynn, was brought in for questioning on Tuesday. Stone said he was a person of interest and believed he may be able to help identify the body."

Also, on 00:18 of the video of this article, it is said that the husband "turned himself in" for questioning (yesterday).

They released him from questioning last night. I hope he wasn’t able to access the home, vehicles or other areas of potential evidence.
He was released however his home is being treated as a crime scene or needs to be processed.

he's had the opportunity since Friday to do whatever necessary to potential evidence. Husband is only a POI and has not been detained. And remember, the sheriff's office didnt start investigating til Monday night.

The body site was 30 minutes from the house on Polks Hole Road in Tarboro. On the map, the house (purple marker) and Polks Hole Road (green marker) are shown. Polks is a short dead end road into farm fields, woods, and a stream at the end. LK must be familiar with this area, maybe hunting?

The chances of a DOT worker being on this obscure road seems infinitesimally small. Maybe he was sent there as a search team member, based on known information. Otherwise, the find was a needle in a haystack.
Yes, POI is familiar with the area but you will not read that yet innews media. Had it not been for the DOT worker, it's possible the body would not have been found for a while in that area. POI could possibly get away with murder again, given no arrest made yet. IMO, that's a sign there's trouble gathering convincing evidence.

Then will they publish cause of death? I wonder if they’ll hold that close to the vest. I am surprised that she has not been positively identified yet.
hopefully after there's confirmation of who it is, they will notify victim's mother who is in bogata columbia and daugther before released to the media. Cause of death is gunshot but you wont read that in media yet until autopsy confirms. (small town folks dont keep secrets well)

Sad that a body that is believed to be Diana showed up.

But... having a body is something they can use against the husband. Like I mentioned before, a crime in my parts of the woods, couldn't go after the husband, even though he was the only one who had anything to gain by her murder, but a body was never found.

I’m told family members of Diana Alejandra Keel will be working to try to get a Visa so they can come to North Carolina from Colombia. #ABC11:

I can't imagine the stress her family in Colombia is going through

I think it was you who first said there were rumors of a body being found by somewhere he used to work.. is this the same location?

I can't believe the husband has been released. Makes me think they don't have a lot of evidence that he killed her. Or they wanted to release him to see what he might do, where he might go, etc. I just hope he doesn't run.

Or awaiting results of autopsy (maybe).

I imagine LE is executing a search warrant at the home right now. Not to mention warrants for vehicles and electronic records.

really?!

Another wife/partner just disappears and the partner is meh about it?

•Car left at home
•mystery vehicle/mystery person “gave the victim a ride”
•oh yeah, your person is missing!
• the POI spouse/significant other not alarmed by this very shocking anomaly.

“Oh la di da, who was that person I’ve shared my life with?”

I’m going to venture a guess that his genius planning will fall right in line with that of PF, CW, SP.

How many Datelines and 48 Hours have we seen where they don’t arrest a “person of interest” quickly? The DA has to agree to a murder charge and when a cagey creep has covered his tracks, it can make the investigation drag on and on and on. I hope this is not the case here.

I’d love to hear the 911 call. I’ve read conflicting accounts of who reported her missing, the daughter or the husband.

I hope the FBI is helping. Oh, those poor kids!

I'm almost certain it was the daughter who reported her missing. I agree that there have been many times in the past where POI's were released. But I can't help but think this guy might be a flight risk, if he thinks the cops might be onto him this time. But he may be self-centered enough to think he's gotten away with it (again). I would imagine someone in LE is covertly tailing him.
