From earlier new reports (apparently retracted)-
"Authorities say someone in Arizona called a tipline to report that the suspect had been spotted on the I-10. The information was then relayed to state police and Keel was located."

Pretty big difference between the two accounts. I don't get why these things are hard to report correctly.

Regarding the plate reader- eventually, we will all be tracked by the government wherever we go. Sometimes this can be good and sometimes not so much. Not a discussion for this thread though.

Well, perhaps someone in Arizona DID spot him and call a tipline, who knows? He could have been caught by both the license plate reader and the eagle-eyed citizen. But if not, that's quite a misunderstanding!

I'm extremely curious to know the amount of cash he was carrying, also. Whatever amount it was, he had to know it wouldn't last forever. MOO.

Perhaps the use of an ATM too since there were numerous receipts in the truck. May have pinpointed the approximate location. Somebody's watching you....

Somehow my thoughts exactly ! I've tried to find pics of Diana which would show her rings. The only thing I've been able to find, I can just barely make out a gold band on her left hand. Pics from Diana's FB.

Warrants shed new light on Diana Keel murder case (with clip)

"NASHVILLE, N.C. — The Nash County man who has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his wife is expected to go before an Arizona judge in less than 24 hours, and investigators from the Nash County Sheriff's Office are expected to be in the courtroom for the hearing.

Sheriff Keith Stone said that Lynn Keel, who appeared before an Arizona judge Thursday afternoon, is expected to arrive back in North Carolina at about 4 p.m. Friday.

On Thursday, law enforcement authorities in Arizona released search warrants that shed new light on the murder of Diana Keel, 38, who worked as an emergency room nurse before she was slain.....

[Nash County Sheriff Keith] Stone said the extradition hearing took approximately five minutes, with the judge going over with Keel what his rights were and what the process would be if he didn’t waive his rights.

Stone said a public defender was with Keel at the hearing and said Keel didn’t make any comments or statements.

Stone said Keel’s demeanor in the courtroom was the same as it has always been, ‘very calm, easygoing.’

Stone said Keel should be back in Nash County by approximately 4-5 p.m. today and is going to face a first appearance on Tuesday in District Court in Nashville.

Keel was alone and driving his parents’ pickup truck in the Grand Canyon State when Nash County Communications received a tip about him being sighted on Interstate 10.
