The Wilson Police Department is searching for 16-year-old Dontay Barnes.

Dontay is a black male who is approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall and 110 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Authorities believe Dontay may be with one or both of his sisters — Ciera Barnes, of Wilson, and Shiree Murchinson, of Thomasville.

Dontay may be in a purple and black Ford Crown Victoria.

The Wilson Police Department is searching for a missing child: Dontay Barnes. The child is in need of emergency medical care. Law Enforcement has reason to believe he is with his sisters Ciera Barnes, of 1802 Petelcrest Dr, Wilson, NC and/or Shiree Murchinson, of 1112 Trinity St, Apt. 807, Thomasville, NC. The vehicle is a Purple & Black Ford Crown Victoria.

According to Wilson police, Dontay Barnes was found safe just before 10 p.m. at a local hospital.
Police said the Amber Alert stemmed from a misunderstanding.
