A silver alert has been issued for a man last seen in Rocky Mount.

Officials are searching for Estee Lawrence, 88, also known as "Lucky," who was last seen on Windmere Court in Rocky Mount Tuesday.

He is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Lawrence is 5'6" tall and weighs about 154 lbs. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, white shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes.

Authorities say he is driving a 2009 cream-colored Chrysler 300 with North Carolina license plate PFX8240.

A silver alert has been cancelled for a missing Rocky Mount man.

Police say that 88-year-old Estee Lawrence was found safely this afternoon.
