LE is very quick putting her into Namus. Is it safe to say LE wasn't able to find a missing girl in the regular databases and that's the reason they did this?

I'm actually kind of chocked this is not in the news or on Social Media. Enough about missing dogs and cats, that's for sure.....How bad is it in Flat Rock, that this is not worthwhile mentioning?

Flat Rock is a residential area, a bedroom community for Asheville and Hendersonville. No real downtown. It's upscale and well-kept.

With her piercings and tattoos she has an Asheville-ish look; the town is full of young women of that mold. I imagine a fair number of them are, to varying degrees, transient, as it's easy to pick up jobs waitressing, bartending, and so on. My speculation is that she wasn't killed in Flat Rock, but probably in or near Asheville, and taken to Flat Rock to discard. Of course, she could be anyone from anywhere.....Interstate 26 is not far away.

I don't see a cause of death listed anywhere. The PM photos reveal some bruising on her neck, so I'll guess strangulation. She looks like she may have been beaten too.

I wonder if local police have contacted neighborhood residents about accessing their ring cameras/security videos. The crime rate there is very low; there may not be much in the way of security videos available.

Edit: I can't find any information on this anywhere else. How strange....there are no news reports at all, as far as I can tell. Perhaps the news of her discovery hasn't been released locally yet!

I don't think this is a drug OD. Look at the scratches on her legs; they appear to be pre-mortem or perimortem. That poor girl was tortured, brutalized. This may have been a rape or attempted rape....perhaps the result of a Tinder date with a creep?

Edit: Law enforcement may be waiting for the coroner's report before releasing the Cause of Death.

The marks on her face look more to me like blood pooling, like the body was facedown for a while and the blood fixed. I could be completely wrong, and it doesn't mean she wasn't beaten, too, but she also seems to have flecks of dirt or vegetation on the surface of her skin on her face as well. I'd be surprised if she wasn't facedown at some point.

Her tattoos are definitely distinctive. I agree with evilwise that the "Piss"/"Off!" and broken-heart tattoos are most likely self-inked, but the Egyptian cat and Hello Kitties are professionally done. None of them are super fresh (no swelling/scabbing) but are definitely recent, probably inked in the last year or two. They've got very clean lines and haven't started to fade.

I read the tattoos, but did not make the connection that the term "Piss Off" is rare slang in the United States.

After 911, federal big brain computers track people who overstay their visas.

The local police should definetly inquire with the Immigration Service or State Department regarding female over stays from, as you stated, United Kingdom and Australia. It might be a good idea to add say: Ireland, New Zealand and South Africa to the list as well.

It varies state to state. In North Carolina, you could not get even a semi-reputable tattoo artist to tattoo someone under 18, but other states would if a parent were present. Same with professional piercings. But if she had a friend apprenticing, it’s still possible she could be younger, it just would not openly be done by a licensed professional.

I know we're not necessarily speculating on COD here, but looking at the tattoo pics, some of those red markings on her abdomen look awfully like shoe prints.

For internal matters, the US functions more like a coalition of 50 semi independent countries than a unified system.

In the end, the legal age for tattoos varies by state. Likewise, the possibilities of exceptions with parental consent could also vary by state.

The age of consent in the us varies by state ,but even then you can order those guns online and people allow their kids to get tats. I have known 12 yr olds with poke an sticks... pawpaw gave them.
