(Wow still listening, but here the automated voice says in English “for Spanish, press 1”—-well if you don’t speak English how are you supposed to understand this? They need to say “numero uno”)

Okay going back to listen now.)

I swear I’ve posted / read about Lumberton here before. Again I think it’s maybe the case I mentioned above...

Omggg, so many valuable minutes lost in the communication process..

This was quite frustrating to listen to, moo.

I know everyone was probably doing their best at the time, but the translation factor made things detrimentally slower, imo.

I wish it could have been a short “help, my child has been kidnapped, Green car, etc etc.” And police could have been dispatched immediately lights and sirens blazing racing to intercept the vehicle.

(This reminds me of another case which is important to mention comparatively re: the 911 call, but is something for later, not now.)

Additionally from your link:

“Authorities are asking anyone with surveillance systems set up near Hania's Lumberton home on Elizabethtown Road to please save those videos and contact the tip line immediately. That number is 910-272-5781. Even if you don't see the SUV on that video, the FBI asks that you still contact them, as it still may contain important information. “

FB releases photo of SUV connected to kidnapped Lumberton teen
The FBI and the Lumberton Police Department have been analyzing video since 13-year-old Hania Aguilar was abducted Monday morning. A press release from the FBI says the image of the car was captured near Hania’s home just minutes after the kidnapping. Police are asking anyone in the area with a camera to hand off their footage to investigators.

“Even if you do not see the vehicle in your video, please call the tip line anyway, as it may still contain important information,” the FBI stated in a press release.

A briefing on the cases is scheduled for 3:30p.m. Wednesday at the Lumberton Police Department. You can stream the press conference live on the WBTW News13 Facebook page.

I sure hope they can enhance the photo enough to see what is going on inside.

Who was she maybe talking to online that knew she would be there...does she have a cell phone.

(Same old questions...)

I’ve been consumed in the Watts case so I admit I have been skimming here so going back right now to read from the beginning again.

There is something about this “window of opportunity” that is really bugging me.

I thought the same. The 911 dispatcher and the translator absolutely seemed to be doing their best. Just due to the process of translation (which was much needed, since the callers spoke Spanish), the length of the call naturally seemed so long, IMO, which was frustrating and heartbreaking to listen to considering just minutes before HNA was pushed into her family’s car and taken. And to hear during the 911 call what seems to be a little girl crying in the background.

So sad.

Does H have any brothers?

Could be gang retaliation kidnapping?

This is a poor area. 99% of students at H’s jr. high school qualify for free lunch.
That SUV may have had little gas.
So unless the kidnapper had lots of money, he’s going to have to buy gas or steal gas, steal a car, or he’s got a place to hide out.

This sounds like a brazen attacker to me, possibly gang affiliations (bandana) and carjacking MO, as mentioned perhaps since he came out of nowhere. He would have to have known she would be there at that time—-is there any place around there to watch from the woods, etc?

I think a deep research of other similar attempted abductions is in order.

One thing I want to mention is there was an another MP in NC somewhat near this area iirc? I feel horrible but I’m drawing a blank on her name..Nicole maybe? She worked at Walmart iirc? Her father was a cop and her step mother was named as a POI. I don’t think she has been found yet but she was Native American, iirc?

Right, margarita. Sarah Graham.

What all do we know about HANIA.

What was her schedule and what were her interests, activities.

We will see how this pans out, but right now I’m going to guess this is noooot a random abduction.

This is a very risky prediction in which if I’m wrong it’s going to be quite embarrassing, but that’s ok, this is the only way to test myself I suppose—There is a fabulous poster yesterday who so gracefully admitted she was wrong so anyway just saying, sometimes we might not want to post something for fear of being wrong and I don’t want it to be that way because right now time is of essence and bouncing stuff off each other is all we’ve got. It’s not about being right or wrong , it’s about finding this child. And there is a good group here, some of the members I most respect.

Now if this IS a random abduction, it would have be someone out there just wandering around who happened to come across her? He’d have to be super drugged out or something, I don’t know, something is not fitting here for me. We will see what today’s PC says.

Also, first on list is to look at this map to really look st this “coming out of nowhere” with no vehicle in sight.

Hinky. It’s got to be someone she knows or that is known to her family or at least that has been in a position to observe her?

Would someone hang around the neighborhood waiting for a child to come out? He’d have to be right there? Idk...

This is so odd for me because usually I’m quick to lean towards random...

(Omggg thank you. I was thinking “Graham” but I was like no that’s Hannah.

Yes, thank you (and hello) alexwood.)

I would hope so, but in yesterday's presser I recall Chief McNeill saying it was still dark. A yellow bandanna would stand out, IMO, but not sure about eyes. We also don't know how far away the witness was. Seems they may have been far enough away to avoid being observed by the perp, which would be a really good thing considering the witness could have been in danger as well if seen. Jmo

Compiling some references for record-keeping purposes, re: time of day:

Sunrise and sunset times in City of Lumberton - Sunrise in Lumberton, NC on 11/5/18: 6:40 am ↑ (109°)

The 911 call to report Hania’s abduction was made by a neighbor when a relative ran over to get help. The call came in to the Robeson County Communications Center at 6:54 in the morning on November 5, 2018.
FBI UPDATE: Amber Alert still in effect for NC girl

Police Chief Michael McNeill:

Video: Press conference 11/6/18 (starting at 3:34)

This just reminded me that yesterday at the PC iirc the speaker seemed to dodge the “was she taken by gunpoint” question, or maybe he really just didnt know at the time...?

From looking at the photo of the car they do have it looks to be in the center lane and there is at least another lane of traffic. So IMO it appears someone in another vehicle took the photo of her.

I hate to think this but I think maybe someone driving along saw her trying to get help from them so they snapped a photo of their vehicle. I dont see how else this photo would have been taken from that position.
See the white lines at bottom showing the other lane.

Hmmmm...

(Ok if true then this is really panning out like something else I said I wanted to go into re: the 911 call but not now, later (sorry bear with me), just making a note.)

Hi OBE,

What gets me about the random aspect is that he came out of nowhere presumably on foot.

Where the heck did he park his vehicle? Could he be so close that he walked over?

I’m guessing his vehicle was maybe hidden behind some trees? Idk.

It is really sad to be here still after this length of time. Really disheartening.

Come home safe Hania!

I believe he had been watching Hania even before he kidnapped her.

I believe he is from the same general area.

He was on foot because he knew the vehicle was running. No need to take his vehicle.

Imo

Does anyone know off hand if this a model of vehicle that lets the driver control automatic windows and can keep the passenger from lowering the window and keeps doors locked?

Right now I think he is driving and she may be an unwilling passenger. I can almost make out someone up against the window if I am seeing things right. Its all blurry but something seems there in passenger window.

Gosh this is so terrifying to think about. I hope she can be found safe.

Wondering why the need to “warm up” the car, hadn’t been cold there - 55/60 at 7am would not need heater on in the car?

And the vehicle belonged to the aunt that I guess was visiting from Summerville SC?
Or did it belong to someone else and they wanted it back?

Teens that age seem to want to do anything with a car; even getting in and starting one up makes them think they are closer to getting a driver’s license, etc.
