This is awful. RIP, Heather. I hope justice is swift.
o.m.g. this is awful!ADMIN NOTE:
Rest in peace dear Heather.
So very, very sad to read this update. Poor Heather, with such courage and strength to have endured so much in her short life and be subjected to such indignities while alive, and ultimately her beautiful life extinguished.
For now, as hard as it is in this one, please remember our rules folks.
The videos we have seen certainly paint the husband in a terrible light, but at this point in time he has NOT been officially named a POI / suspect in Heather's death. So, no super strong insinuations or direct accusations that he is Heather's killer.
Was she living with him when she was reported missing? Are his current whereabouts known right now? I wonder if he's had a police interview yet. I really wish they would release more about what they know about the car she got in when she was last seen. Was it found abandoned or was someone driving it or parked at a home or business... or what.
Wow, I think we were all leaning towards someone else. My head just went to a dating app of some sort. I hope they get this person quickly. So many unknowns

I feel it would be really difficult for her to meet someone online and arrange to meet them offline with the problems she had communicating after her accident. Maybe she sometimes isn't as hard to follow as what I saw on her FB. I know one of her friends commented to her that her husband never understands anything she says, implying that her friend does understand what she says, so maybe she's easier to understand at some times than at others or something like that. Or maybe that just wasn't even an issue, who knows. Do we know where her husband is now? I also really wonder about her dog, who was an omnipresent best friend in so many of her photos. So many unknowns

So Heather lives at home with her parents, not on her own or with her husband* Or did she & her husband live there? From the way it's worded it gives the impression Heather was living in her family's home/with her parents. The last known footage from the family’s Ring camera shows Heather leaving home and getting into a car.
If she communicates with people online in a similar fashion to how she posts on social media (which I suspect she does) her cognitive issues and the fact that she's a vulnerable adult would be instantly apparent to whomever she was talking to online; if that same person was *absolutely fine* with picking Heather up from her family home- well....It's not a stretch to consider that this person may have had very bad intentions from the start. The family says they didn’t know the person driving, they suspect it is someone Heather met online.
"I just ask that people out there, if they hear anything or if they see anything, you know, somebody knows something, somebody's talked to somebody, somebody has, you know, they slip up along the way," Mary said. "So somebody's got to know something. and you know, i just pray that whoever does know anything comes forward and that we're able to get justice for Heather."

Her death is being investigated as a homicide, and her family says police have identified a person of interest.
I hope her parents are caring for her Great Pyrenees dog. They are wonderful guardian livestock guardian dogs--gentle giants. That poor dog will be missing Heather.I also really wonder about her dog, who was an omnipresent best friend in so many of her photos.
So not the husband or ex or what ever he was?So many unknowns

Agree. I have followed many cases - both here and in general - but this one really got to me. Maybe it’s because she was only 2 years older than my daughter. But I think it is more because of the tragedies she and her family have endured since the loss of her brother shortly before her being hit by a car. Then to fight so hard to survive the trauma only to find that you are left with devastating physical and communicative and/or cognitive disabilities. The promising life of a beautiful young girl was tragically altered in the blink of an eye. That she endured all of this, including at least one suicide attempt (per reports) only to have someone take your life is just so incredibly heartbreaking. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain this family has and is going through. Prayers that Heather is in Heaven and finally at peace, with no pain or disabilities. And prayers that her family can somehow get justice for her and find some sense of peace. This case just really hurts. Poor girl… hopefully justice will come soon
