The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office is looking for Jimmy Spears, age 83. Mr. Spears lives on Ray's Place, off Log Cabin Place, off of the Taylorsville Rd. No one has spoken to Mr. Spears since 1030pm on 08/26/2018. It does not appear that Mr. Spears has a cellphone or a vehicle and may have left on foot. Mr. Spears is in the first stages of dementia. There has been a Silver Alert issued and emergency personnel are in the area now. If you know where to find Mr. Spears call the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office 758-2324 immediately.

MISSING CALDWELL COUNTY MAN: Search resumes in rural Caldwell County for missing 84-year-old man

The search resumed Tuesday morning for a missing man in Caldwell County but was called off in the afternoon.

A Highway Patrol helicopter with infrared technology was dispatched in the search for Jimmy “RC” Spears, 84, who lives on Rays Place in Lenoir.

They said the rugged terrain near Spears’ home was also making their search efforts more difficult.
