What is a marijuana blunt? I've never heard that term.

A blunt is a cigar hollowed out and filled with marijuana. It is rolled with the tobacco-leaf "wrapper" from an inexpensive cigar.

They were undercover.
Regardless of the order in which they saw it, we're talking about a loaded handgun and an illegal substance. That link claims they saw him hold up the gun which gave them probable cause for the marijuana thing. I'm thinking it's more likely they saw him with the marijuana and moved in. I have a hard time believing he parked next to a cop and showed off his gun. JMO
It is now up on this website (said loading before): http://www.wccbcharlotte.com/2016/09/24/cmpd-releases-video-fatal-shooting-keith-lamont-scott/
To me it looked like he was moving backwards so that the officers would be directly in his line of fire. Getting into position, gun in hand, locked and loaded.

Did anyone see the LEO they said shot Scott, in the video?
If I understand it correctly the first officers at the scene were in an unmarked car and undercover, not in uniform. That link claims they saw him hold up the gun which gave them probable cause for the marijuana thing. Wait a minute. He's in the suv? I thought he was in the pickup. How in the world could they have seen a gun or marijuana from where they are standing? And why aren't we seeing the beginning of the interaction??

So, dude was high, waving a gun at cops, ignoring commands, gets shot. Game over, case closed.
Sounds right to me. Sorry, but it is what it is. They destroyed another city for this.
Unbelievable.
That's about it. I don't understand why these "protesters" pick their fights the way they do. They use miscreants as hero's. I don't get it. JMO
The officers were in an unmarked car. They were going to ignore the blunt. When they saw him handling the gun they left to put on identifiers (vests, uniforms or the like) before returning, where they saw him with it a second time. That link claims they saw him hold up the gun which gave them probable cause for the marijuana thing. It's usually just an incident that is a catalyst for the larger problem that has caused their frustration and anger. Straw that broke the back, etc.
And if he was still on probation from his prior he would probably be spending a long time in prison for the possession of the gun by a felon. Even if he was not on probation he could get quite a lengthy sentence. IMO he showed the gun the first time because he did not know they were under cover. Once he realized it he was not going to be taken peacefully.Regardless of the order in which they saw it, we're talking about a loaded handgun and an illegal substance.
We can stop with the rhetoric that he was sitting there doing a cross word puzzle and the big bad cops came to bother him for no reason.
He was breaking the law, plain and simple. Had he accepted responsibility for it, he'd likely still be alive today.
Seems pretty open and shut, I guess. Everyone go back to your corners until the next one happens.
It's not this one single solitary incident that caused protests and riots, y'all.

You're ok with guns and drugs in your neighborhood, good for you. The vast majority of citizens don't share that view. You wouldn't hear much complaining if a white guy was caught hanging with guns and drugs at the bus stop. If said white guy did the same thing as in this case,, and the outcome was the same, few tears would be shed.

What happened to his first amendment rights. He was only stating an opinion.
