Sorry, but there are way too many of these stories. There are no excuses-people will adopt your children. It isnt like the baby's father/murderer cared whether or not the baby lived or died.

The baby was fussy? The newborn was hungry. Funny that.

Bruce and Sandra Alston say the floor of the house where Frazier and Ash stayed was littered with diapers containing feces and urine. Sandra Alston is Ash’s mother, while Bruce Alston is her stepfather.

“It was filthy,” Bruce Alston told The High Point Enterprise Monday. “Empty cans of soda everywhere, old food scraps on plates.”

Sandra Alston said that her daughter underwent a C-section procedure and wasn’t physically able to help clean after Khan Frazier’s birth.

“The doctor told her she would have to have help at home. It looked like it was never cleaned up,” Sandra Alston said about the house.

The Alstons last week raised questions about why visits by DSS agents to the house didn’t result in the removal of Khan Frazier and his 15-month-old brother, Kane Frazier. The other son since has been removed by child protective services and taken to Brenner’s Children Hospital in Winston-Salem.

This couple appears to make a lot of excuses for their daughter and place a lot of blame on DSS (probably rightfully) but my question is, if they knew this couple was living with their grandbabies in squalor why didn't THEY take any action?

And the baby didn't die from neglect or filthy conditions. That child died because the peice of garbage father punched his little two week old self in the face.

In addition, their poor little c-section daughter, who couldn't clean house, was apparently perfectly fit to plan to attempt to cover up the murder of her own child and contemplate a cross country run with the murderer.

Sorry, no sympathy from me.

I haven't gotten up the emotional strength to read the article yet. But going by all the posts, I share the same sentiments. I could wrap my hands around both of their necks and just squeeze out the life, without the slightest hesitation. I'm sick and tired of these monsters getting away with this kind of behavior.

I just came across the most disturbing photo of this little baby! Obviously, I can't post it here. But it's a pic of him in a bassinet at the funeral home, and he's dressed in a Santa suit.

I can't quite figure out what my feelings about this are. Is it creepy or just plain sad? I think I've been on this thread for way too long.

I don't understand how the grandparents could see what was going on and instead of taking any action towards the welfare of their grandchilden, they just expected DSS to take of the situation. In my opinion, I hope they won't be considered when it comes time for the 15 month old to be placed somewhere to live. I also don't understand how a mom can call up DSS and admit she's not mentally capable of taking care of her kid and that DSS didn't immediately remove both the children. I think there are a lot more people who bear some responsibility for what was going on.

Maybe the grandparents are not capable of raising children either?? I suspect if you look back on the grandparents, CPS was probably involved in them. It's like a vicious cycle.

That poor, sweet little angel. He was only 2 weeks old.

I bet the "wonderful" grandparents end up filing some kind of suit against CPS.

I am with you on the mental health break, I had such a bad nightmare about little Jersey's case I was afraid to go back to sleep.

Me too. Which is why you'll find me in the Jury Room most days. I can hardly open these horrific threads anymore. I don't think I can take much more, and come 2013, I plan to seriously take a break.

ETA: and C-section my @#$. I had one 15 years ago, and was up and around after 3 days. Yes, my DH was there, but I was as well. I didn't lay in bed for 2 weeks I can tell ya that! Unless she had complications, I was told not to lift heavy objects (but still carried my 9 pound son). I also cooked and cleaned, but didn't vacuum. I don't buy into their excuses - sorry!

Superior Court Judge Richard Doughton sentenced Frazier to life in prison without parole, saying it was “absolutely horrible what happened to that little child”...

The mother, Stefany Ash, also is charged with murder. No trial date has been set.
