Laura's death was considered a homicide and GH was already convicted of first degree murder, so it's not an "accidental" death, nor is that how it's listed on the autopsy report. A stab wound to the neck and other damage to the neck is not considered "accidental." Further, there was no damage seen to Laura's skull to indicate a fall or anything there that would have caused her death.

Homicide to Laura was proven.

Everything around that is then "acting in concert."

Amanda claimed she had no idea Laura's body was in the trailer, nor that Laura was even dead, until she got to TX. That testimony was just soundly impeached by the "accident claim." And Amanda puts herself right there as the death is occurring.

Amanda knew, helped, participated, asked her own sister to participate, got her own daughter involved (to watch the kids).

I hear the slamming of a cell door!

The witness is pleading with her eyes to the ADA table to either make Gaskins stop or make him hurry up and get finished with her. I don't blame her.

I missed the beginning of this witness testimony ... what's the gist of how she described Amanda?

amanda was going for the oscar gold on the stand!!!!!! :floorlaugh:

He showed up at her house??? Is that normal?

Yes. Attorney should interview all perspective witnesses if they will talk to you to see what you night say.

This woman should have been the one to cross-examine AH! She's a tough nut!

Her sentence would not be unusual IF she were a 1st time offender and offered to pay restitution, somehow.

If true, Becky will bring it out.

What is stunning to me is the fortune Amanda turned over to Grant, she didn't notice he was bleeding her dry until after she was arrested for murder? I will never understand this. She could be living high if she had managed her fortune, yet she's in NC, hopefully going to prison for life; penniless.

There u go no remorse!!!!!

Wasn't Grant's trial after she got out of jail?? Just trying to follow Gaskin.

Got my fingers crossed that Becky Holt will address this. But why she didn't anticipate this being an issue with the defense and removing it by asking and getting it answered .

Voir dire outside the presence of the jury. Patsy?

Oooohhhh-weeee. One of the jail mates told AH that GH was fooling around with Laura in Florida while he was already involved with AH. That was an excellent nugget.

Yes! She spent way too much money, very extravagant. You're right, eventually she would have been broke anyway. But she sure went broke after meeting Grant with lightning speed.

I didn't hear the State address the favorable treatment of this witness. Does that mean it WAS given. :(

Can Grant's mother testify that she knows Amanda's handwriting and can identify the letters are written by her? .........................Hmmmmmmmmm...................this will be interesting. How will they authenticate the letters?

Jurors are taking notes in #AmandaHayes . Some look over at Amanda with what is described to me as "disgust"

Thanks be. They are "getting it".
