Does anyone know when Diana Cojocari and Chris Palmiter's next scheduled court date is?

Following.
My opinion is that one or both parents know where this girl is; and also one or both are responsible if she is deceased.
Sorry but I fear the worst after all of this time that's passed.
Eta : If Madalina had been placed with someone else, I think investigators would've uncovered this by now ?

JUL 10

CORNELIUS, N.C. — The Cornelius Police Department confirmed Monday that they are aware of a Facebook post noting a possible sighting of Madalina Cojocari, a missing 11-year-old girl from Cornelius, North Carolina, in northern California.

A user in the Find Madalina Cojocari Facebook group said she was driving to Susanville, California, on July 5 when she stopped at a Valero gas station in Weaverville. She spotted a young girl there who asked for a ride "up north." The poster said the girl looked a lot like Madalina.

This totally bewilders me. If it is true and she spotted a young girl, seemingly alone asking for a ride, why on earth didn't she say "yes" and find out what was going on?

Sounds to me like on some level she realized she had an "overactive imagination" and therefore limited posting about her remotely possible (but highly unlikely) sighting to the FB group.

I could see this kind of thing happening if someone gets very invested in a missing person case. Not them making it up for attention so much as their mind stretching the limits of what's at all likely. Thinking they might possibly have seen the person of interest just because the person of interest is on their mind so much. Then their mind getting stuck on if they really saw the person or not. Just my own possible interpretation though.

There is no evidence that points to signs of life of Madalina.
Sadly, I believe she hasn't been alive since around Thanksgiving 2022.

It makes no sense that Madalina's mother would remain in jail for 7 months because she is protecting her daughter's location if she is still alive. DC and CP aren't talking because the next-talking step for them would be to admit guilt of disappearing Madalina. moo

Finally the FB post is cited in msm. Keep in mind that Madalina only turned 12 in April. She was supposedly walking around a busy gas station, carrying a kitten and asking strangers for a ride and no one thought it was unusual?

Furthermore, the woman turned her down when asked for a ride because she was afraid. Yet it never occurred to her to call police.

I sent a message to mods to see if we could post
I believe it is relevant to follow up.

In the screen shot of her post embedded in the article at your link, the woman does say she reported the sighting to the police. So, whoever that girl was, at least LE were notified.

Regardless, I don't believe it was Madalina.

Yeah I should have been clearer, what I meant is calling 911 while at the gas station. Or at least saying something to a clerk. The woman was so suspicious and concerned but didn’t even ask the girl if she needed help? The post has many red flags that suggest it’s a false sighting.

I wish it was Madalina but I agree with you that it probably wasn’t her the woman saw.

You may discuss the Facebook post to the extent it’s released by law enforcement and throughout the mainstream media. Screenshots you personally took of the post or images not found in the MSM are not allowed to be posted or discussed.

Here’s a snippet from the rules:

  • Posts by an owner or admin of the above public social media pages may be linked, copied, quoted, or paraphrased.

Remember that upthread, a helpful map-fiend points out that there is a CHPS station across the road from this gas station...um maybe walk the young lady across that road to see what Ponch & John can do to help???

The last time I talked to a CHiP -- he was on a horse!

I am not positive about this but what I can see DeeDee the person (I believe) that spotted the girl in CA joined the FB page in June 2023. The encounter happened July 5th. I am wondering if LE didn't put this out here because they are looking in the CA area for Madalina? Or they just want to keep it in the news. IMO if she was trafficked she would have never been out by herself. Also if this was a busy gas station did everyone think as she did and take no action to help the girl? I have been in this situation twice and both times I sought help. the first time I called 911, the 2nd time it was in a bad part of town, I went into a business and they called 911 and we watched the child at a distance until police arrived.

Wasn't the potential sighting a case of retrospect or do I misunderstand it? Wasn't it only after the fact that it niggled her? So much so that she couldn't let it rest, started searching for missing children and that's how she connected it to Madalina? I don't think she was thinking at the time I bet this is a missing person, I think I'll just let her walk away.

If that's the case, I truly applaud her for following up. See something, say something. It's not likely to be her, it might not even have been a child in any kind of distress but, when something feels off, even after the fact, we all have a duty.

Either way you look at it, the sighting brought it back into the public eye. If anyone is ever in this situation at least ask a name and ask them if they need help. I agree "See something, Say something" There is also a hand signal, open hand , fold in you thumb, close you hand into a fist.

Surveillance photo of girl in NC mountains was 'physically consistent' with Madalina Cojocari, warrants show

During a recorded jail phone call, Diana Cojocari discussed a big bag of money and floated a theory Madalina was possibly given away for cash, court documents show.
This has a REALLY good timeline. I have always struggled with keeping up with this one. So there is a possible sighting of Madalina with the only US relative which would have been the distant Uncle on Dec 16. That was after Mom and CP were arrested. But if this is the case, Did Mom give her away to hide or was she sold?

From your link:

CORNELIUS, N.C. — Newly unsealed search warrants in the case of missing Cornelius girl Madalina Cojocari reveal that on Dec. 16, 2022 surveillance photos of a child and man in Sugar Mountain "were physically consistent" with the missing girl and her only known blood relative in the United States.

The records, released to WCNC Charlotte Tuesday after remaining under seal for months, also show police intentionally housed the girl's stepfather, Christopher Palmiter, with a confidential informant in jail and later seized his jail notebooks. In addition, court records show, during a recorded jail call, the girl's mother, Diana Cojocari, discussed a big bag of money and withdrawing cash with her mother "and a theory that Chris gave the girl away for money."

The search warrants also show Diana Cojocari was spotted in Hickory on Dec. 3, a day after she indicated she was in the presence of her missing child, "getting an oil change in her car." In addition, the Cornelius Police Department was able to secure one of Palmiter's old hard drives after receiving a tip.
