I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas Day. My very best wishes for 2019 to one and all.

Thanks also to Niner and the rest of you Sleuthers for sticking with this case in particular. Justice is coming,

@Niner

Local LEO prepare for crisis center, courthouse

And with the opening of the new courthouse, 10 homicide cases are scheduled for court as per the District Attorney’s 2019 trial calendar including:

Adolphus Earl Kimrey is scheduled to go to trial on Sept. 9. Kimrey is accused of killing his girlfriend’s 3-year-old daughter, Mariah Woods, in November 2017. He is facing the death penalty

Like Mica, I can only find the February date on the court site, so I added the date in September from the article in my previous post. Screen cap of court site results

Hi, Niner, and to all good WS'ers -- Happy New Year!!

And thanks to dixiegirl for the docket pic!

It's funny, I just took a look at the docket last night, and there was the all-too-familiar speeding ticket for Mr. Kimrey and, of course, nothing else. The Sept. date probably won't be on the docket for several months -- but at least the sick-o is on some list for trial!

Well, just for the helluvit I just checked the Onslow County docket. Nuttin' but the speeding ticket -- so nothing new is scheduled anytime soon, as of today.

Stay warm, WS Peeps. Home-made soup or chili or chicken & rice, etc., are good to keep your bones from freezing.
We're at what many people would pay money to have today -- our outside temp is 48F, sunny and windy, but we're headed for 19F tonight which is damm cold for North Carolina -- and yes, many of us are weather wimps - and I am one.

Positive thoughts for all of us here and for all living things on this planet. :)

I'm in Southeast NC and it's way too cold for me. I don't do "cold winters". My body starts closing down.

Same here, lonetraveler -- my blood must be too thin -- I'd much rather have 95F than 30F . 95F is too hot, yes, but better than too cold! It's nice to have another N.Carolinian on this thread and here at WS! :D

I do wonder when Mr. Kimrey will get scheduled for a trial -- I guess his attorney(s) is(are) having his IQ tested, for one thing, and who knoze what else? If the courtrooms in Onslow County are like ours here in Wake County -- scaled back for size -- it will probably take about 1--2 years for the trial to go on a schedule. But he's locked up, so I guess he and the rest of us will have to wait. And I haven't seen anything about Mariah's mother in quite a while.

Yes too cold for us NC folks. Sooo glad I’m not in the Midwest.

And I’m losing patience over the pace of this case and the fact that there have been no further arrests.

You are welcome, I never knew you were from NC either. I'm an hour away from Jacksonville and hope to attend the trial or trials if the mother is charged. She seems to have dropped off the earth.
