Mariah looks so sad in most of those pictures. I had to do a lot of searching to find a pic where she's smiling.

Same here -- as we said earlier, we remember Aliayah Lunsford, whose deep woe and hurt just shouted from her little eyes. No smiles from her -- but she's far away from all that now.

eta -- And a big HiYa, Wyle E Coyote! Where have ya been?

Priority number one is to find Mariah. Once they find her they will determine the circumstances.

Yes yes, last night on Lea Porter's show on Datelibe, they were talking about this exact thing, see even though the suspect had told them he put her in the dumpster, and they knew she was likely in the landfill, they still needed her body specifically so that they could find out what injuries she had; LE said that the suspect's story could be total crap as far as his self defense story goes, and "hypothetically for instance if they found several stab wounds" they would know this wasn't true.

Am I imagining things or did they just edit and omit the original article?

Oh my gosh that was fast wasn’t it? Or has the article been up a while. I feel like I read it somewhere earlier this week, but maybe it was social media

can you link the story? not sure what neighbor said what?
It is. I wonder if the neighbors didn't realize what they were saying would be in the story. It happened to my son when he was interviewed by NYT. BTW It was his fault as he wasn't thinking, not theirs.

Just had a very short presser. 700 people showed up to volunteer [emoji33]

Family is cooperating is what he said....had a lengthy conversation with a family member. Didn’t say who.

I believe all the kids were put in bio dad's custody during the CPS case.
Hi you guys I am new. I wanted to share my thoughts on this sad case. I feel like mom and her bf do know what happened to Mariah. If you notice moms interview compared to dads is like night and day. Also it's a red flag dad Claimed abuse already happened and CPS had previous taken the kids from mom. My question is why Mariah and not one of the brothers? Like why would they single her out? Maybe it was harder to care for her needs but I heard one brother suffered from the same thing. I wonder if le have tried interviewing the 10 year old maybe he seen or heard something. I feel bad for all three kids cause in this situation mom apparently neglected them and abused them all according to dad. This is just so sad. I also don't think Mariahs body was dumped anywhere near the home.

If you go back a few posts someone quoted the part of the story with the neighbors comments. I’m not sure how to quote a quote [emoji51]

Edit - post #920 quotes someone who copied a portion of the article with the neighbors quotes.

I'm just amazed how prevalent abuse/murder of these little ones is. Seems like there is a new case here all the time on websleuths, and these are only the ones we know about...it seems like we could fill a textbook with names of little ones, past, present and probably future. :(

If the previous link about the window-smashing is correct, or at least the vehicle information (Ford Windstar I believe they said?) those vehicles were made from 1994 to 2004, so their vehicle would be somewhere between 13-23 years old. I have no idea about the tracking technology of that specific vehicle with those years though or if that is definitely the make/model the family owned or if they have any additional vehicles. MOO

If the bio mom or BF bought the car from a used car dealer then there is a good possibility that they are still paying on it, if that assumption is correct then in all likelihood the van has tracking technology on it so that the finance company can repossess it if that becomes necessary. It's common now when you finance a car to have one of those GPS trackers on the car so the repo guys can find the car wherever it is and snatch it at their first opportunity. It's pretty crappy, I've heard of people going into work and at the end of the day they leave to go home and their car is gone, snatched out of their work parking lot or they go into the supermarket to get groceries and come out and their car is gone.

And if that is how he punishes mom for neglecting to provide cigarettes...

i find it so odd they can't just say she has blonde hair. it's obviously blonde. there is something weird about that. we'll never know, but someone has a hang up about blonde hair.

My husband and I were just disagreeing last night about a friend who I say has blonde hair and husband says has red. I’ve known the guy for 20+ years and never thought his hair was the slightest bit red. We also disagree about dirty blonde/brown.

He didn't say who, but then said "she". Maybe the mother?

This would make sense to me. If the dogs weren't able to track her in the vicinity of her home, along with any witnesses regarding someone leaving in the middle of the night, there would be a good chance that LE had reason to believe she had been taken from the home. Somewhere I read that the search area is 3 miles from the home. Can anyone local confirm? If so, it seems odd to me that she would be taken to a location so close to her home??

Alex Woods said in the Nancy Grace interview that someone was seen leaving the mobile home at 3 am carrying a bundle. someone he thought was the grandmotherly neighbor. He said there were 2 witnesses to that. Maybe there was more info from a tip about where she may have been going.
I think it's ok to post this bc it was on MSM media?

exactly. the abuse is not anger or a temper. It is generally punishment for not being given his entitlements. it is not anger - it is outrage at not being treated special and privileged.
And if that is how he punishes mom for neglecting to provide cigarettes...

(O/T, while I've got you on the line, please check into the Tampa thread when you can, we have question for you when you get a chance, re: if the suspect's sealed past record from 2014 in NY can now be unsealed since he has been identified as the Seminole Serial Shooter. )

I called on a neighbor once for neglecting their 4 year old. He didn't know who called so he went up and down the road that afternoon screaming and asking every neighbor if they were the one who called. There are people like that who I imagine others are terrified of.

In Virginia, according to a friend who is a longtime CPS worker, the reported parents can file a request after 3mo and will be told who it was who reported them. I thought that was pretty scary for the reporter.

Crowd of volunteers turns out in Onslow County to search for Mariah Woods

Jacksonville, N.C. — Crowds of volunteers turned out early Friday morning to help authorities search for an Onslow County girl who has been missing for five days.
The line of more than 200 people spilled out of Onslow Community Church around 8 a.m. Friday when authorities asked for help following a fourth full day of searching that turned up no signs of 3-year-old Mariah Kay Woods.

He smashed all of the windows on the van because he was out of cigs?

They look to be pretty low income---and yet he smashes all of the van's windows. How much would it cost to replace those windows? I'm guessing it would be very expensive.

That illustrates how out of control this guy's temper is.

Hi, trying to catch up here from running errands. Can you pls tell me where this info came from? A link maybe? Many thanks!!
