NC - Nia Hantzopoulos, 64, murdered, Charlotte, *ARREST*

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for her or her car. Hope she's home with her family by Christmas.

I'm also local and hate that she is missing from the area I and many of my friends/family are around daily. Where are you sweet lady?

i would get verified but i literally don't know how to do that.

Please contact the moderators, they will tell you what to do. In order to contact them click a red triangle in the lower left corner of any post and write a message. It's quite simple.

I wonder if they were able to ping her phone. Is it possible she is off the road somewhere or in a lake. Could this be a tragic accident ?

How do you know this and why should we believe you?

They sure sound like they know her and I for one appreciate their being here. I'm sure they will be verified if they choose.
Their friend is missing. Let's help them find her.

im nias neighbor. she's known me for my entire life and i used to go over to her house all the time and play with her 2nd oldest granddaughter. she made the best potatoes at dinner. i found this article by googling her after learning about her disappearance yesterday. i thought they were having a party saturday night because of all the cars but it was actually all the family over. she made jewelry (our packages got switched and i've gotten her beads in the mail before and i've talked to her about it when she was gardening in her front yard) and she sold it at the flea market in pineville. she's lived in the same house for at least 18 years so she obviously knows the area. nia is of greek decent and i know her by "yiayia". she did go missing on friday. her granddaughter posted on facebook this morning "5 days no grandma", all her pictures of the disappearance say friday, and her husband DID call the police that night when she didn't return home, but you have to be gone for 24 hours for a report to be made. everyone loved nia she wouldn't just up and leave escpecially
not around christmas.

And there it is again. I can't tell you how many times on this board a loved one will say that - I would have called the police but an adult has to be missing more than 24 hours, and the police department will respond with something like, "I'm so sorry they felt that way, that's not the case at all, but the public delays calling because somehow it's gotten into our communities that you have to wait 24 hours. You don't." But here it is again, he tried, and was told that elusive 24 hour rule.

Nia is of Greek descent , she as a hobby was selling jewelry, antiques etc.
at the Pineville Flea market on weekends......she left home Friday afternoon, not Thursday and her husband DID call police that evening !
She was thought to be stopping at the Goodwill store on Johnston Rd.
The media has the dates and info wrong! Family had to wait for Monday morning to get a supena for her Verizon phone calls......believe me when she didn't arrive home Friday night, there was no delay in calling police!

Here agape says he called Friday night a d they had to wait till Monday to get a phonenrecords

I don't believe he waited 24 hrs. She went missing Friday he called Friday night

Is there water anywhere nearby?

Not really. This time of year in this area, it takes forever to go any amount of distance. I was in that area Friday night at a restaurant, and it took 30 minutes when normally it's a 10 minute drive. I cannot imagine her going off the road and having an unseen accident, unless she went a ways into SC, which I said before is 10 minutes or so down Johnson Rd, aka 521, aka Lancaster HWY. Where she disappeared from is considered safe. There is a preschool and a church adjacent to the Goodwill, but also an ABC store. Im keeping my eyes open for her car, and hoping she just needed a break for a few days.

I do appreciate insiders coming here and sharing with us their knowledge, but unfortunately internet is full of trolls. We don't want one to have fun on expense of a missing person, do we? So I strongly insist for verification, so we can accept Agape's info as fact.

Was she actually seen at the Goodwill, or was she just known to be headed there?
Did she ever make it to the Flea Market in Pineville to sell her jewelry?

Any activity on her bank/credit cards/phone? When calling her, does it go straight to voicemail? Why is foul play suspected?

5 days today.
She is very pretty.
Locals say very little chance she would have gone off the road unnoticed that morning, heavy traffic.
No bodies of water nearby.

I'm interested in phone pings / activity and if she was actually seen at any time Friday after leaving her home.

Any history of depression? Substance or alcohol abuse? Has she gone away for long periods of time before? Does she have any medical conditions?

Praying for your safe return, Nia.

I'm not a troll....thankyou ....I am her niece .......still no word ......believe what you will ,the media make errors.......
