NC - Nia Hantzopoulos, 64, murdered, Charlotte, *ARREST*

Never a good sign for the ME to show up. Hope it's not related to Nia. Hopefully whatever they're looking into isn't human remains. No one wants to get that news, especially during the holidays.

It's a homicide investigation, they are now at a second scene doing a grid search, as posted by the reporter linked above on twitter.

Praying it's not our Nia. Shuffletown Park is 22 miles from both Goodwill and the flea market.

Where could Nia be? I am beginning to wonder if there was foul play at home. No confirmed sightings of here anywhere as far as I know.

Dockins saw on the news she was seen on camera leaving goodwill.

What is the MSM source? Thank you.
There is none that in aware of. I've searched daily and nothing. That's what completely baffles me about this. She's a grandmother who went missing right before Christmas. I'm surprised the media isn't all over this. Perhaps the police determined nia left on her own accord and there simply is no story to tell. It if also very strange to me that the family immediately started saying they suspect foul play. I would think the police would issue a statement if they believed that were the case.

I don't know who is running the facebook page or if it's even legitimately connected to the hantzopolus family. I just thought I'd try reaching out to see their response. I know it proves nothing.

Sorry for the delay in getting back with a link. I cannot find it, but I swear I read it and heard it on a news piece. But, I cannot find anything more in MSM newer than 2-3 days ago, much of which is repeats of original articles. Sadly, relatively near by, we have an older gentleman who wandered off and an older lady and a small child missing while traveling(also on here), so the news is more interested in those cases at this time, IMO.
ETA: this was the original link that stated she was last seen at the Goodwill, but it was changed to exclude that, so who knows why.

On the article, the link itself included last seen leaving Goodwill, but it doesn't paste as such.

I think I kind of know where this is going -just a hunch- but keeping my mouth shut for now.

By all accounts, Nia sounds like such a sweetheart. Hope she makes it home soon!!

That was my thought after the sudden hush and deleting info from msm. Praying I'm wrong though.

This just keeps getting weirder. There is no consistency at all. It's like someone can't get their story straight. If it is true that she was last seen leaving goodwill on friday at 1 pm (missing thursday at 2) then why on earth would the media recant that? You'd think that everyone would want that information out there to help map out where exactly she went missing.

Every report I've read states that she was last seen on Thursday, leaving her residence, and that the husband didn't report her missing until 7:45 am Saturday. That makes him look suspicious. Even the Nia FB page states last seen Thursday (at the top) and Friday, scrolling down a bit. So are we to believe that every published report is incorrect? It makes it pretty difficult for eyewitnesses to recall anything if they don't know which day is relevant. And MSM deleting the information about a Goodwill sighting? Good grief.

I'm sorry this is so screwed up Nia and I pray they find you.
If you left of your own accord, please at least let LE know.

This is so odd. Nothing in local news for days now. I hope she's safe somewhere.

Been reading about Tricia McCauley's case ...

Missing 2 days
Body found
Car located
Surveillance cams
Suspect in custody

It's just amazing ... and sad ... how some cases are BOOM, while others languish. :(
