NC - Nia Hantzopoulos, 64, murdered, Charlotte, *ARREST*

I'm not a troll....thankyou ....I am her niece .......still no word ......believe what you will ,the media make errors.......
I'm so sorry for what your family is going through. Has her last known location been verified by phone or financial records? What type of phone does she have? If it's an android or iPhone there are apps that can locate the phone.

Was she actually seen at the Goodwill, or was she just known to be headed there?
Did she ever make it to the Flea Market in Pineville to sell her jewelry?
Whoa, I just read this. Was she headed to the flea market in Pineville, the one on the way to Carowinds? there are a lot of questionable types there, IMO. I no longer go there for several reasons related to safety, due to the stolen property and fraud reportedly going through the flea market. I'd be more worried about harm if she went to the flea market rather than the Goodwill, if her disappearance isn't a domestic issue. Even my husband says he'd be more concerned if She went missing after being at he flea market. Do we know if she was there or headed there?

Idk if she was headed there that day, but yes, she does have a booth at Barnyard from what I understand. I agree, it's a very sketchy area. About a mile down on the same side of the road there's a house with a gate that is used as a sex club on weekends.http://www.heraldonline.com/news/local/community/fort-mill-times/article11984192.html

Yes, the NC press is notorious for the errors. This case is just typical of the Charlotte area press not following up on crime. They obviously have no investigative reporters or reporters that care about errors in their stories.

Praying that she is safe. The family will have to get search parties organized; doubt if LE does their job to do so.

Police have phone records and have spoken to most that have text or called
her.......

CMPD needs to get the ball rolling on this. Tomorrow will be a week since she was last seen. Nothing new. This blows my mind.

There are some obvious steps to take here. The employees at goodwill need to be talked to. Do they remember her? If she was dropping off, check to see if her name was on a tax receipt. If she was shopping, did she pay with a card? Then there is obviously the security cameras. This would tell us if she infact made it there, what time she left, if she was alone, if someone approached her in the parking lot, etc.

If there was no record of her there, they need to interview people at the flea market. If she had an indoor booth, was there a camera in view? Did anyone at a surrounding booth see her? Has her flyer been put up here? If i remember right, isn't there a truck stop next door? If so, the cameras need to be checked for her vehicle.

If nothing pans out from this, we need to trace her route. This is not the middle of no where. There are businesses everywhere. Other than the last stretch of the drive to flea market anyway.

I would drive the route and look at the businesses that may have picked up her vehicle on camera. Even if it were a gas station 2 minutes away from her home, it would give a starting point. Then keep checking cameras along the way. I know it sounds much easier than it actually is. Make a flyer with her information, picture, and a picture of her vehicle. Gather family and friends - put them at all businesses along the way. If a manager isn't available to talk to leave a flyer for their desk with a note requesting they check the cameras.

The police need to subpoena records from the phone company to track her pings. It would help to show her movements and when/where they stopped.

To the family posting, please put pressure on the police to take this more seriously. Contact the media yourselves to get them to keep running her story. Anything to keep her name and face in people's minds. Every second that passes can't be gotten back. Reviewing the security footage needs to be done quickly. After a period of time the files are written over.

Another thought for the family members. Did she do any buying/selling on Craigslist or facebook? If so perhaps she met with someone and something occurred during that meeting.

If her husband or someone has access to her email/Facebook it wouldn't be hard to find out. Maybe this is what she meant about going to sell jewelry. If no one has access to her accounts and would be willing to PM me her email address/phone # i can search for a possible listing.

I would like to know the answers to these questions also.

From the news tonight, she was seen leaving the Goodwill on camera. So, that's a start.

No sorry, I did read it last night before bed too. I will look for the link.
