Officer Michael Sales responded to a call and was violently assaulted while trying to arrest a suspect. The assault was recorded by a bystander who encouraged the beating.

My guess would be the violent assault will get the cop beater about 10 days of community service as a punishment. Hope the guy he was trying to arrest wasn't injured. We don't need any more victims of police brutality in this country. MOO

About an hour from me. These people are pathetic. What a shame. I hope the officer heals.

Maybe I'm reading this all wrong. Are you suggesting that this police officer deserved this brutal assault?

I’ve seen the video and I don’t think it can be linked here. The crowd cheered, absolutely disgusting.

Robeson Co. officer airlifted to hospital after being beaten

The video shows the fight lasted for nearly 11 minutes. During the incident, Sale asked a man to help, but the man refused to offer him any assistance.
<snip>
Graham said seeing the video really upsets him, but it shows the harsh reality of what police can encounter during calls.

"Today's society, that's just how they think and operate. This is something that we, as law enforcement, been telling the public for years. It's not shocking to us because we been doing this for years,"
said Graham.

He added a video of the attack against the officer will be of great benefit to getting a conviction against the suspect.

"I'm thankful for the video because it pretty much proves my case for my officer," Graham said.

I thank the protesters and the climate they created, for this brutality upon this officer.
