I am wondering if his court transcripts are sealed due to him being a minor at the time of his offense? I don't know the laws for that part of the country...not at all.

Nicholas Holbert, who lived in a tent behind the Froggy Bottoms bar, turned himself in to authorities Friday afternoon on charges unrelated to the disappearance of Fort Bragg soldier Kelli Bordeaux.

Holbert, who is a registered sex offender, was arrested for violation of his sex offender status, which requires him to provide a new address within 10 days of moving.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office says Holbert is in custody for "failure to register his new residence."

Nick is dwarfed by that big officer in the same way Nick might have towered over tiny 100 lb Kelli, or the little child he was convicted of abusing.

Shame Nick didn't resist arrest. I wouldn't have minded the officer getting in a lick or two. :innocent:

Nick is in jail right now. violation of probation. He just went to jail. police have taken his dna also.

Wow.......I hate it when I am busy doing something else and that is when there is movement in the case.

I am not the least bit surprised by his arrest though. I had already mentioned the other night he was in an ABSCONDED violation because he failed to inform them of his current address.

Good call by LE. Now they will know where he is at all times and can get his DNA too.

I honestly feel like he has nothing to do with it. It was the look in his eyes in that first interview! I am thinking maybe someone that was at the bar may also be a neighbor of hers. Maybe, the perp had been hitting on her previously and she saw his vehicle near her apartment.... that could be what "spooked" her. Hopefully, it is not someone she serves with. JMHO... ;-( So sad.
