NC, Raleigh 11/4/24, 12 1-40 shootings - arrest on 11/7

I was surprised to not see a thread on WS. There was a person shooting at people and cars and homes along 1-40 for 4 days. It ended today around 4 pm with an arrest of 2 young men. I tried my best to start this thread as this was big news in Central NC all week. I had followed live on broadcastify. Some of the shootings were near or by NC State so not sure if the two arrested were students. This is close to where I lived for 16 years. Everyone was thinking of the DC shootings all week. Glad they were caught and no deaths as some of the shots to the cars were direct windshield shots. I believe one woman was shot in the leg. Today at around 4 pm someone reported being shot at near the 1-40 exit and where the police made the arrest. This was crazy.

Glad you are ok and I can not imagine having to drive I-40 this week. From the pics of the shots to windshields, it looks as though they were aiming to kill. MOO!

It was a student from NC State.
Cell phone data was used from the shooting locations to link to Graney's car. Plus below article states a Surveillance camera caught the car at one of the shooting locations.

The other person arrested with Graney was released. Can you imagine having a roommate do this and a swat team comes rolling up with helicopters flying over, and you are arrested with him?

I wonder what was going through this guy's mind?! Thankfully, RPD is throwing the book at him. It really could have been SO much worse.

It's odd to me that she hasn't seen or heard from him in a few months. Maybe it's because I have "kids" that age and we never go more than a day or so without some form of communication, especially those still in college. moo.
