Crystal Mangum is up as first witness.

I like this judge. No monkey business. The defense says they have evidence. I wanna see this.

Agreed, CUCKOOHEAD, no fooling around & he keeps things rolling. He's very "quiet" about it. He's also, IMO, verrrrrrry easy on the eyes. I think he is quite handsome -- and he's got a little spark in his eyes. Mmmm-mmmm.

She described how good the victim treated her and her children. Mangum said the relationship was not 'exclusive' for her.

Crystal's story: Mr. Day got upset because she was talking to Officer Knight. He starting yelling and said she was disrespecting him.

She had never seen him that angry.

Also, according to her, Mr. Daye had been drinking both hard liquor and beer all day.

Crystal says he hit her and she fell. This happened twice. She staggered to the couch.

He was so angry he was spitting in her face saying she was ungrateful. She ran to the bedroom and he followed.

He got on top of her and started scratching her face saying he was going to make it so no one would ever want her.

Then he told her to get out; when she tried, he pushed her back down; then grabbed her by her ankles and pulled her off the bed, taking the mattress with her.

Once he had her on the floor, he decided he was going to throw some hot water on her face.

He left for the kitchen and came back with knives.

She was hiding behind the mattress when he came back with the knives. He started throwing the knives at her, stating how good he had been to her and kids.

She was begging him to stop.

After throwing the knives, she left the bedroom and ran to the bathroom.

After she locked herself into the bathroom, Mr. Daye broke down the door and grabbed her by her hair and pulled her out, and back into the bedroom.

He straddled her; hit her; then started choking her. He was too strong--she couldn't push him off.

All she could think of was her kids, who were with her friend for the night.

---

This is quite a story she is telling, I can hardly wait for the State.

Eventually she ran to her friend's house--where her children were. She was good friends with this lady.

(I guess she doesn't remember any stabbing. Must be the fog again.)

She denied everything about the cashier's checks; and the State is pointing out that there were no liquor bottles found at the apartment--in spite of her allegations that Mr. Daye had been drinking a combination of beer and hard liquor since 10 am.

What a piece of work she is--now the State is pointing out that the lady had her children all day.

According to the State, her motive for stealing the money orders was so she could give her children money for a church activity.

Now she is accusing Officer Knight of lying on the witness stand.

And she is now saying that she was afraid of Officer Knight, too.

  • #174
She said in the police report that she had stabbed Mr. Daye 3 times and she thought he was dead.

  • #175
She was just acting intoxicated because she was tired and drained, and she went into herself.

  • #176
Did they do a blood test on Mangum?

  • #177
She got several WOUNDS? Boy does she know the difference? When you stab someone you didn't just scratch the person and when someone scratches you that is a scratch just because it happened to you, Crystal Mangum, doesn't make it a wound.

  • #178
So, everyone is lying but her. LOL

LOL The State got it in that they used to shower together.
