I think Miss Liddie Howard has a convenient memory. :)

She seems like a nice lady, though.

Yup! First she doesn't remember talking to the officers and then she denies telling them what she told them!

CM no longer knows the difference between yes or no, do not know if I can say this, but I found it painful to watch her testimony towards the end. Did you see how confused she was when she was standing by her atty and the judge was asking if she understood the reason for the proffer of the door expert ? If testifying was her last ditch effort to get out of jail on the free card....all is lost, thank heavens.
As for the juror that is hoping for Durham to "look good". Well, good luck with that, buddy.

I need this lunch break to fix my glasses, sat on them.....didn't feel a thing!

Well, ohoh, first of all

Second of all, if you're like me, your butt was numb 'cuz you've been on the sofa watching this trial all day.

And yes, I saw her pained expression when Judge Good-Lookin'-Hunk spoke with her. I had to squirm for her, altho I am not in her fan club. smh

Carry on.

I missed yesterday, for the most part and viewed it on the WRAL site. I can't believe the amount of FF I had to do, to keep from falling asleep myself.

Bond, the LE testified yesterday that Ms. Magnum's lips were very dry and there was a scabbed-over yellow something on the lower left? lip which was a bit swollen. Other than that, there was a teensy, scabbed-over scratch below her eye. Zero injuries from being punched 10 or 5 times, depending on whether she was talking to the EMT's or the jury today.

She sure had a lot of hogwash going on this morning and everything she said flew in the face of prosecution testimony! Now, the defense wants their DV expert to explain why battered women don't remember things correctly. Oy vey!

I would love to see that little bit come in if I were the prosecutor. Then, on cross, I could ask her if that was why Ms. M. conveniently testified to pure and blatant baloney on the stand, ie: she is not a credible witness.

Oh, and HI! Good to see peeps following this little 'ole trial. JA, Jr.

And Greetz to you, C'Moon!! :seeya:It's like old home week -- back to another trial in the Triangle area. You know, that place where the husbands (well, some of 'em) are stingy carousers who don't wanna pay alimony or child support so they take the EZ way out and simply slaughter their wives and find out that crime doesn't pay. :jail:

Morning everybody! I have GOT to break my trial addiction! Seems one big case ends and I find another. I wasn't expecting to get drawn into this one, but I was.

As for yesterday, I wish JA's Judge Stephens had put her foot down on unsupported-by-educational-background DV testimony as did our hunka-hunka judge here. We were forced to listen to days and days and days of unsupported "evidence" spouted by ALV. Kudos to this expert who actually admitted that men could be abused. Coming at the end of her testimony and after hearing from her other ex-bf, I think the jurors should be able to see the pattern here, regardless of any background issues of CM. She is an ultimate liar and bully imho.

I'm looking forward to the closings in about 32 minutes!

Judge wears a rug.

Just had to rhyme; sorry. Closing arguments begin at 9:30; but I will keep an eye on feed at 9am in case they want a mistrial again....etc etc.

So sick with some horror flu; hands even are aching. KK see ya then.

Do we have any gamblers here? Wanna bet the jury comes back with a verdict within four hours?

I'll bet they either hang; or find not guilty. IOW they may believe her self defense.
