Found Deceased NC - Sara DeFusco, 44, Cary, 6 Jan 2021

CARY, N.C. (WNCN) – Cary police said they are investigating a woman’s disappearance after she was last seen at her home Wednesday morning.

Sara Margaret DeFusco, 44, was last seen at her home on Medlin Drive just before 9 a.m. on Wednesday. Medlin Drive is near the intersection of SW Maynard Road and W. Chatham Street, southwest of downtown Cary.

She was driving a blue 2014 Nissan Versa with North Carolina license plate FAE-6008, police said.

She was wearing a knee-length olive green winter jacket with sweat pants.

Further information was not immediately available.

I live in Raleigh and have mutual friends with this individual so I’m going to be keeping a close eye on this. They have not released any additional info yet but her husband has been putting out pleas for her return on Facebook and I believe she has a young child as well. It sounds very concerning and missing 3 days now.

This is strictly my opinion only, but I think they may have been separated or divorced, based on his reference to Sara being missing from “her home” and the fact that he does not call her his wife/spouse in any online comments I’ve seen. Also, the tone of some of the comments made in response to his post on Sara’s FB suggest to me that she may have had some previous history of mental health issues and/or going missing voluntarily.
