"A 17-year old Scotland County teenager is accused of killing his mother.Deputies say he dumped her body in a cotton field in Marlboro County.
The 39-year old woman had been missing since Tuesday.
Thursday night, her sister asked deputies to check her house and that's when they became very suspicious about her disappearance.
Deputies say they found what appeared to be a crime scene inside 39-year old Sarah Williams' apartment in Gibson, North Carolina. That's about seven miles North of Marlboro County."

"MARLBORO COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A Gibson, NC woman was found dead Friday morning from a gunshot wound to the head, and her teenage son has been charged with her murder. South Carolina Law Enforcement Division investigators are in Marlboro County, where the body of a 39-year-old Gibson, NC, woman was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head.
According to Marlboro County investigator Jamie Seales, the body was found off of Academy Road outside Bennettsville after Scotland County, NC officials were led there while looking into a missing persons case."

Williams Cousins pled guilty this week to killing his mother in Scotland County in January of 2009, according to the Scotland County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say a judge sentenced Cousins to 31 to 40 years in prison for the murder.
