Another article with regards to warrants;

http://abclocal.go.com/wtvd/story?section=news/local&id=7125084

"Search warrants show investigators found children's clothing, blankets and DNA when they searched McNeill's Mitsubishi Galant and took away 11 bags of evidence."

Also from this article:

"Meanwhile, sources say a preliminary autopsy on Shaniya Davis has been completed, though investigators have not released a cause of death or who killed her."

You know, a momma elephant going crazy at the circus, thinking that she's protecting her baby, gets euthanized.

Human mothers who murder their children, abuse their children, pimp their children get tried by juries of peers.

Thanks Salem...

I was afraid of that. That means that she was still alive when the 911 call was made. :banghead:
Which explains the faked the 911 call too... making up $%#@ as she went along to the 911 operator.... saying she put Shaniya "down at 5:30 last night" ??? Stupid..:furious:

I think they continued to use the one inside, hence the "backup" and mess that led authorities to say it was not fit for habitation.

I don't think the septic system was constructed to support the many people that lived there.

I was taken aback in reviewing many of the posts on Shaniya’s threads. The speculation about dialect is, in my opinion, counterproductive and illogical. While I will not entertain the underlying stereotype and overtones here, I was intrigued by these comments.
Since there appears to be a lack of diversity awareness and repetitive stereotyping of people of color, I find it appropriate to bring to your attention the comments relative to dialect changes when around people of color is demeaning and offensive to me, as an African American woman.
Put another way, the references to how he spoke / speaks in the company of varying audiences, followed by the reluctance to “go there”; insinuates a predilection of how one should act or speak; based on the color of their skin. Furthermore, the dialect that BL displayed during the vigil is a common verbal expression shared among members of African American churches and communities. It is not a definition of an individual and/or reflective of one’s skin color. A Google search on the history of enslaved African’s and the English language dialect association will provide an abundance of material for use as an education tool.

Because I understand the complexities and anxiety associated with this case, I have attempted not to “prejudge” the overtones of these comments, which appear on their face to be filled with hidden meaning. As such, I do not find it necessary to single out individual posters, by linking to the associated posts. (If anyone is in doubt, a quick read of the previous thread (#15) will provide the answers to satisfy your angst).
While sleuthing the facts of any case is not about protecting the feelings of others; we should all be cognizant of the reality of the extremely diverse World Wide Web. Moreover, I am disappointed in the play on linguistics and dialect of anyone, in relationship to skin color; and am appalled to see inclusion of such at Websleuths. My primary reason for joining Websleuths was because of the level of professionalism that I witnessed here; in comparison to many other sites. My hopes are that we, as posters here, continue to elevate our level of professionalism and exercise the abundance of skills among all of us; and leave the racial epithets aside.

p.s. – the speculation about “ethnic hair” and “braids” is a little off base also. I have NEVER done my hair or had my hair done, the night before and it doesn’t take longer to bring it into a beautiful hairdo. I mean, black people are not from another planet…really, we’re not! While hair texture differs among every race, the stereotyping about “ethnic hair” and “braids” and “leaving it out” is ridiculous! In fact, any black hairstylist recommends not pulling it up at into “pigtails” at night; but braiding or wrapping it; so as not to cause breakage or damage. And…leaving hair out means wearing it down; just as she said…no more / no less. There’s nothing to read into that! It certainly doesn’t mean…”I is nasty”! LOL – NOT!

The uneducated guesses, i.e. speculation with no quantification, about racial issues by those who have no experience is frustrating because so many are stated as fact—with some underlying reason for someone’s statement. Not to mention offensive.
Lastly, she was listed as “black” everywhere, because the only choice you have is white, black, Hispanic-not black, Island Pacific or other. I absolutely refuse to list my multi racial child as “other”…because the country in which I live and my father and grandfather went to war for refuses to provide a legal definition of his race. And it wouldn’t matter anyway, because the national code system, automatically codes any “N, C, Colored, Black, or African American” race as black. The 2010 census is the first that will allow a selection other than…select a box and will accurately code race based on what is written. So, legally, Shaniya is black.

I must be missing something here, because I don’t see where Shaniya’s race had anything to do with her disappearance. While I agree with the potential jealousy and/or spite that demon momster might have exhibited, I also believe that would have been the case regardless of the color of dad’s skin.
She is a beautiful girl whose life was cut short due to, what appears to be a litany of circumstances. Does it really matter if she’s black, mixed, biracial, white, Asian, or whatever??? Socio-economic conditions??? Certainly…but that should not be attached to a person’s race.

WOW

I have grandkids of color and I am white, but definitely not blind to racial slur.
there have been no racial comments here at all.
No attack on anyone...And your post overwhelmed me.

It seems that people noticed the father speak with 2 different dialects and that is all it was about, and being he is white and he switched it was just noted. JUST NOTED.

Hi all. I have not been able to read everything - but I do agree with the poster who thought they were using the back porch as a toilet.

I don't know how it would play in - but I was thinking - if a child went out to the back porch to go #2 - and didn't have any TP - well it could get really messy. Then if for whatever reason they could not get back inside the back door - they may have gone around to try the front door - hence the poo there.

The blanket - similar thinking. If there was no functioning tiolet - maybe they just when wherever was convenient - like on a blanket - then they just wadded it up and tossed it.

My other thought is about why the dogs didn't catch her scent outside. Maybe they gave the dogs items that were not Shaniya's? After all she was wearing someone elses clothes and her blanket was in the trash. But then the dogs might have picked up that person's scent I suppose. Hmmn.

http://news14.com/triangle-news-30-content/617721/legal-expert-expects-murder-charges-in-davis-case

"One legal expert says anyone and everyone involved in her disappearance could face first-degree murder charges.

“Anytime there is a homicide committed during the perpetration of a rape or sex offense, whether it was planned that killing occur or not, that's known as felony murder and that's automatically first-degree murder,” explained Karl Knudsen, an attorney of more than 30 years.

First-degree murder is punishable by life in prison without parole or the death penalty.

Knudsen says it will likely take more than a year for this case to go to court and could take several years before it's completely resolved."

I too am very curious why the dogs were unable to pick up her scent.

I would be real curious to see if there was any type of cell communication between AD and MAM in that time period of 6:11-7:30 am Tuesday morning..

I also wonder if the banging heard after 3am was MAM coming to collect money he was owed and it was shortly after that AD made the offer as payment.

He could have left with the poor little angel somewhere around that 530 time period where AD claims she laid her back down on the couch...

I think something went wrong with their agreement between the time MAM checked into the motel and AD made the 911 call...

There are always bits and pieces of truth in most lies...I do believe the last time AD seen Shaniya was around 530...but it wasn't laying her down on the couch!

I like the theory but why did she implicate her boyfriend?

Did she?

I thought a neighbor saw Coe drive out of the trailer park.

??

I'm not getting how talking about BL's accent could be conceived as racist.

  • #194
I don't understand why McNeill wasn't behind bars. He shot 3 people, one in the face....and he's out and about? His record is a mile long. It makes me sick that the justice system installed a revolving door on the prisons!!!!

Me either.

I also see nothing wrong with noting that her hair was out. IMO It should have been wrapped or braided.

Someone said they saw him drive out of the park, they later recanted. The rest of the finger pointing at Coe came from Creature.

This keeps coming up as more members join in the discussions. The three people in the video are: on the left of screen Carey Lockhart-Davis, Bradley Davis, and Carey Lockhart-Davis's daughter.

http://www.wral.com/news/local/video/6409385/

This is not BL's fiance. I did read that this young lady with the long hair is Aunt Carey's daughter - but then I went totally link stupid and lost the link. I will on this night spend good time refinding that link to take this out of rumour mode.

Eleph

I am so looking forward to that link regarding the young lady with the long hair. :) Thanks.

I also thought that clip was disturbing. The body language of the son totally changes. My fiance, though thought it could be a teenage boy's response to being hugged and kissed on television...kids.
IDK, there are so many twists and turns here and I think it will only get worse!
I agree with the BBM, ALSO: I saw a boy who loves his father.

BBM

I missed the posts where others mentioned this, but his drastic change of accent/dialect stood out to me too.

LE definitely stated early on they had reviewed SHollow surveillance showing both the figure seen walking back from neighbor's trash can (approx 3 am) as well as occupants of mh coming out and looking around (presumably 5:30 am ish).:parrot:

sbm

Is the above in the warrant? If so, is there a link? tia

Why are occupants (who?) of mh coming out and looking around? :waitasec:

Was it ad only playing them (who?) cos we know she knew then the real deal.
