Oh, our girl... Shaniya, your flowers are beautiful. And now you have tomatoes!

I am so saddened by the thought that AD might have taken some of the pictures retrieved from MA's phone. So, so saddened. :(

That is sick but it does not surprise me. Anybody that is evil enough to sell her precious daughter for a drug fix is capable of anything IMO.

Oriah, was this in your local news?

In the indictments for AD... kinda reading through the lines. Have always been hung up on (and horrified by) MA's cell phone pics. It seems to me that unless he really rigged his phone to take remote photos- someone else took them. :(

This poor baby.
What is wrong with people? :(

I have not read the indictments.

Are they available online?

I'll go dig.

Sorry, Kim- will try to find a link.

Oriah, It is bad enough for us, but to live so close to it as you do, must be horrible. I know when I come to NC and go through Newton, all I can think about is Zahra. You hang in there.

Thank you, Carolina Girl.

I am SO burnt on this... evil.
I mean- why. You know? Just...why? :(

You are welcome Oriah. As for why? I hope I never understand. I think that would make me as evil as them. There is not an answer an honorable person can get to for all of the evil in the World.

There is a tornado watch out for the Fayetteville/Ft. Bragg area right now. My granddaughter (USAF) called me on her lunch break.

I am so thinking of little Shaniya today. There are days when I cannot get her off my mind. May this little Angel rest in peace.

I had always struggled with the death penalty, but in cases such as this I am all for it and would do the lethal injection myself!

Thanks for the link, Carolina Girl!

I haven't read Shaniya's thread in so long. I honestly had to take a break reading about everything this little girl went through. This is one of those cases one never forgets.

Thinking of Shaniya tonight, I logged on to hopefully read some sort of justice.

Can anyone please update me if the is any updating to post?

My hat is off to those of you that stay on top of this case. You are much stronger than me.

My apologies to sweet Shaniya - I haven't forgotten about you, but haven't followed your case as closely as I should have.

I'm glad to FINALLY see baby mama was finally indicted.

The mother of a 5-year-old Fayetteville girl who was killed almost two years ago was indicted Wednesday in her death.

What about McNiell? I know he was charged, but has he been indicted? What is taking so long?????

Mel

McNeill still hasn't been indicted in the case, and he recently sent a hand-written note from Central Prison in Raleigh, where he is being held for his own safety, to the Cumberland County Clerk of Court to request his release while awaiting trial.

"Release me. It's easiest," he said in the note.

He has been indicted too from what I have read. I will see what I can find.
It was after the note article.

"Release me. It's easiest," he said in the note.

<Respectfully snipped>

I keep reading his statement. At first I was outraged, thinking he was making a cocky demand. Now I wonder if he is going for sympathy, such as:" Release me. Its easiest" because he cant think he would live more than a few days...and it would save the state alot of money. IDK it still makes me angry, no matter what he meant!
