I am afraid she will "cooperate" and somehow get her charges reduced. Additionally, all she has to do is agree to plead guilty to SOMETHING slightly less criminal and she will still go to prison but perhaps not for as long.

I swear it will make me crazy if she does.

And no, I had no idea the trailor park (SORRY-Mobile Home Park) owner was a former detective/investigator. Seems she'd be more perceptive of what is going on in her park.:waitasec:

I just read about a case in Kansas City in August this year, that is similar. Mom prostituded 5 year old daughter to 50 year old neighbor. In return he gave her $5-$6 every time she would supply her daughter to him. Mom would buy cigs and whiskey with the money. Mom would actually be in the room while pedo was in the room. What a disgusting peice of trash they both are.

They both got life sentences.

I never heard anyone say "she refused to give Shaniya back?"

Didn't the mother call Carey the night before or the day that she was supposed to go pick Shaniya up and the mother told her "you will never see Shaniya again?" The dad didn't get back into town until the day Shaniya went missing so the situation was probably not ever discussed. I still believe that the father never had any intention of Shaniya going back to his house. I think he forgot to tell Carey.

This case is about a beautiful little girl that lived in my county,NC also, this tragedy kept me up for days, very similiar to precious Shaniya, this case got very little publicity but Chasity Sumner 7 yo was , raped,affixiated,and murdered and dumped in a gully very close to her house.
I have just found this, thanks to one of your links, I always wondered what that animal ended up getting.
I hope we can count on this case to get justice for Shaniya.
Youll see from doing a search that very little is out there with this case,it was very hush,hush,
Its beyond sad of what Shaniya went through to get publicity,but,on the other hand I believe progress is made when it is so exposed to the media that we can finally show outrage and maybe,maybe change laws in favor of child protection and concern.

I think you are wrong. I don't think she had a dime to fight with.

If the father actually raised Shaniya for most of her life and if as he said in the one article that the mother didn't really have anything to do with Shaniya I think he would have had a real good chance to get perm custody of her. He did a good job taking care of Shaniya and she was clean and dressed nicely and had lots of love in her life. Compare that to what the mother could have offered her. The mother and father's lives would have been turned inside out before a decision would have been made. But I believe he would have won custody with no problem at all. A DNA test would have had to be done too I would imagine.

Hi Everyone,

Still considering a Shaniya forum. Again, it takes a lot of work to moderate a new forum. That is one consideration. Also this case my slow down with nothing new to report and end up just sitting here.

Sorry to be so wishy washy but we really have to wait a bit more to see how this case continues.

OT. If you want to leave Websleuths because you don't like our site anymore, I'm sorry to hear that but please, No "Goodbye Cruel Websleuths" posts. They are self serving and dumb. Plus they do get you banned for life in case you change your mind and decide we are not evil and you want to come back you can't.

I dont know why it was kept so quiet, I had moved here NC the year before and people here are SOOOOO different than where I had lived, they are very private, and a little backwards to me, everyone seems related ( and kin is kin,KWIM?
I was VERY surprised with Shaniyas case, although she lived in a much more populated area of the state, this could have alot to do with it, all I know is that I was totally drained with what happenned only about 9 miles from where I live. I did not sleep for 3 days straight just wondering, WHY,WHY,WHY???

Sometimes one night stands, pregnancy or not, can eveolve into soemthing different. That's how my friend got married to her husband. They now have three kids and live in NZ, married for 18 years!

A friend of ours...my kids ages..had a one night stand and the girl ended up pregnant. When he discovered she was pregnant he demanded a DNA test. He said he wanted to know if the baby was his and if it was then he wanted to support it and be a part of its life. The little girl was his and he has been a huge part of her life for 18 yrs now. This guy is one of a kind in every way and his daughter is a sweetheart. She also looks exactly like her dad so the mother could never have said she wasn't his. The dad has never missed a support payment and kept her up to four days and nights a week. He was single at the time and about 22 yrs old! His mama raised him to be a responsible young man. Most kids at 22 yrs would have ran as fast as they could rather then pay child support and help raise a baby.

I should not be shocked by the content returned for the search words one+night+stand, yet somehow, I still am.

I can think of no where in mixed company where "one night stand" would have a positive connotation unless speaking about the limited engagement date of a comedian, for example. No matter what the culture, those words together can't find a place in Good Community Standards 101.

Now, when the guys get together and BS, the accepted meaning of that term changes in most cases, imho.

Am I going blind or didn't he just say in a previous interview that the mother was never a part of Shaniya's life??? Was she or wasn't she. Above he also says "but I never was concerned of her caring for her as a mother." In a previous articel he said he wanted the mother to learn to be a mother!! I think he forgets what he said and there is a world of difference in the different statements.

I think BL just says whatever he thinks will make him look best at the moment, thus the inconsistency.

This really takes the cake........the mother pleaded with the JUDGE not to be put in prison :furious: This was the third little girl belonging to this woman that she allowed the creepy old neighbor to have sex with. The other girls are grown now. That woman should have gotten the needle along with the old man.

I actually think death is too small a penalty for AD. She should have to live with this for the rest of her life.

Apparently one night stands do not mean what they used to. I knew a guy (neighbor) that told me for months that his son was a product of a one night stand. Slowly the story leaked out that well she had gotten pregnant on the first night...haha. They had had sex every day for a couple of weeks but according to his calculations that's when she got pregnant. I told him by the way your calculations are wrong (they were, but I will spare you the details) and that's not a one night stand anyway you cut it. He continued telling that story anyway. I didn't get it. Is it a oh woe is me tale :boohoo: or what? Oh and of course she had lied to him about certain womanly things and when I did the math, she had not lied. It was as though, according to his take on the story, she wanted a baby and she chose him to father it. :sick: He was not top "pickins" by any stretch of the imagination. He just didn't use protection, ended up with a baby that he did not want, never bonded with the child, was extremely angry that he had to pay child support for a child he was "tricked" into. On the off chance that he did pick the kid up for a visit, he would have sex with the mom (she WAS very friendly :winko and I think he thought he was scoring some of his child support back...lol :loser:

I think some people these days are confusing one night stands with having sex with someone you don't want a relationship with and in their nutty way of thinking they look like a victim or a person with terrible luck. :crazy:
