Did MAM appear in court today?
ARGH...! not much from what I just saw. Maybe it will be on the later news reports.
MOO: I think they split the charges, specifically.
I am always disturbed by people who say "God's will"....I don't want to worship a God whose will would involve raping and killing a little girl....that is not God's will..that is evil people....God gave us free will and to experience the joy of that there is an evil downside
Here is a LIVE WRAL news online link. Not sure what they will report rearding McNeill.

BBMHmmmm, I think there is a bit of a misunderstanding here. I have no wish to enter into a religious debate, but would like to make one attempt to offer some explanation about what some Christians believe, as it might clear up what I believe to be a misconception that BL is blaming God.
Many people believe in a God who is omnicient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. For people who believe in such a God, then it stands to reason that, although he gave us free will and people can choose their own path, he is not powerless against evil. They believe that God could choose to heal people (and has chosen to do so according to The Bible), and that, yes, he has the power that would enable him to change any event that is happening or will happen.
So, when BL says it is God's will, he isn't saying that God caused this to happen. More that it was God's will to allow it to happen, to permit people their free will to make evil choices, even though those choices resulted in the death of a precious innocent child.
People who blame God are generally very angry with God, and distance themselves from their church. I don't see any evidence that that is the case with BL, so in my opinion he is not blaming God for this tragedy.
Oh- no- sorry for the misunderstanding- I just meant I think they split the kidnapping from the other charges yet to come on the 9th for a reason. Different jurisdiction etc. Not that they split the kidnapping charge.
Thanks much Patty :blowkiss:
:banghead :BUT I missed it... so what actually did happen?
Yes, I think they were waiting on evidence and jurisdiction. Thus the delay in charges b/t charges and court. Or else maybe just overloaded court cases (holidays- timing usually bad?) Or maybe they just wanted certain, uh, people, in jail for a bit longer. :waitasec:
MOO only- it buys time in case there are more charges to come.
It does seem like that. But I am not sure all of the charges have been settled?
Also, I wonder about the Ft. Bragg situation coming into play if necessary for further charges.
