NC - Shaniya Davis, 5, Fayetteville, 10 Nov 2009 - Allegedly sold by mother #26

I have certainly not forgotten what happened to Shaniya and never will. I will be very angry and upset if Antoniette (isn't that the way her name is spelled?) gets out of this without substantial prison time.

I know MAM is the one who actually murdered Shaniya, but Antoniette is the one who had physical custody and control of Shaniya and allowed unspeakable things to happen to her. I think she and MAM are evil monsters. I would like to see Mam pay with his life for what he did to Shaniya, and Antoniette to pay for many, many years of her life in prison. As far as I am concerned, she is an accessory to murder and should be charged as such.

I know the manager of Sleepy Hollow wants to make it seem a very nice place, but it just isn't. It is in the part of town that active military will tell you in a heartbeat that you do not venture into. My granddaughter (USAF - Pope AFB) and her husband (Army - Ft. Bragg - Afganistan at the moment) says you just do not go to that part of town if you are military unless you are 'looking for something'. Barbara can say what she wants to.

Barbara seems intelligent enough to know that lots of people going in and out of a MH there would mean either drug activity or other nefarious activity. Why didn't she check into it further than asking what Antoniette was doing there so much of the time? I have no doubt that a few residents are decent people who reside there because of their circumstances. There is a shortage of decent housing there. My granddaughter and her husband had to be on a waiting list for an apartment in a decent area. They finally found one, and she is still there while her husband is in Afganistan. There are nice housing developements in Fayetteville, but they will not buy a house due to not knowing how long they will be there.

Either the charges will be upgraded (not downgraded) for Antoniette, or they will stay the same, IMO, but the case against her will have to move along at some point. I do wish that the wheels of justice did not move so slowly.

Meantime, Shaniya is in my thoughts daily. I agonized over her until she was found and then grieved for her because she was gone. There is no doubt whatsoever that she is in a much better place now due to what she went through here.

But I too come reading here daily and check for news, it is taken a bit to long to charge AD..
I am not comfortable with the time - Why cant they charge her and then add if need be more more charges later.
OK so it is Holiday month...I'll relax and hope the charges are nearing. l
But they can not hold her indefinitely without charging her and they have had her for a while.

I just can not understand why we have not heard anything about BD since this story broke. I think she must be telling all to the LE or we would have heard of an arrest for her as well. There is no way she lived there and did not know what was happening to Shaniya IMO.
It's like she just fell off the face of the earth that morning.

Yes, I realize that this is not Florida...but I know more about Florida and have followed the farce of our DCF ever since the case of Rilya Wilson..so sad

also I do think Florida offers a more "transparent" view of things due to the "sunshine laws" so I am using these as examples

I have been wondering since the first day AD was arrested exactly what proof they had AD sold Shaniya. I still can't figure out how it went from a Missing Child Report to "Human Trafficking". :banghead:

Maybe they found proof in the trailer of previous sexual abuse of Shaniya. Then she comes up missing, AD's story does not fit, statements from people who had to know what was going on, tapes from mobile home park...

If they found proof of sexual abuse prior to Shaniya going missing, then have proof of AD handing her to someone, that may be all the proof they needed to arrest her for trafficking. Especially if they had statements from BD to back it up. That's what I'm thinking now anyway.

Sorry...call me "cynical" but I have seen way too many "funds" set up that do nothing but help the owner/admins

Here in South Florida the problem got so bad that our local media will no longer publish info on private funds...they have several general funds overseen by the tv stations/newspaper...

for instance, in my sig link there is info on poor little Michael Brewer....the money raised for him is overseen carefully and his parents can't use it to party or buy new cars

we had some real horror stories here over the years

there are so many existing foundations that do good...why start another?? the paperwork, filing fees, admin costs eat up the money....why not just say "donate to fund (existing fund)" in memory of Shaynia?

It was a trailer, not too big, nobody can come in without hearing them, or leave with a child without seeing them.
It was not an estate with 10 rooms....Like Elizabeth Smarts home....How could he take her out without
AD knowing?
And how do we know he has not had her for several days and that she dialed 911 because she was not returned???
It was rather strange that she told Aunt JDL that she would never see her again a week before she made the 911 call. :waitasec:

Foundations should be a good thing, but it much depends on who is runing (managing) them.
Until we know what really happened to Shaniyda, and how she ended up with that bunch, it may be a bad idea.
Foundations are also known to make many people rich,
not all foundations are doing the right thing .

Why do you think Kid Finders Foundation was a bust?
(The Anthony's friends) the founders were less then honest.
