Me too PattyG, but there has to be something. You know. IMO they would not just arrest her for that without some kind of proof.
Maybe they found proof in the trailer of previous sexual abuse of Shaniya. Then she comes up missing, AD's story does not fit, statements from people who had to know what was going on, tapes from mobile home park...

If they found proof of sexual abuse prior to Shaniya going missing, then have proof of AD handing her to someone, that may be all the proof they needed to arrest her for trafficking. Especially if they had statements from BD to back it up. That's what I'm thinking now anyway.

How about a "foundation" to NOT send a precious child into a danger zone just for your own ease/comfort/convenience??

They mentioned speakers and programs aimed at increasing community awareness. From looking at the website, Stop Child Trafficking Now looks to me as if they are in the beginning phases of organization. I can only hope their efforts to grow and increase awareness about child trafficking help to save children who might otherwise become future victims of these predators.

Why no new news in this HUGE case????

My suspicious mind is saying they do not want noise about child trafficking.

After living through what has happened to my sister (long story, see www.worstrootcanalever to understand) I realize that everything in this world is NOT as we think it is or should be. Politics and money come before EVERYTHING. Please understand, anything else comes last. Agencies put in place to protect the public do NOTHING, and are paid by our tax dollars. Policies put into place to supposedly help people, mean nothing. I am sorry to sound so cynical, but IMO if publicizing child-trafficking might interfere with high powered people's lives and reputations or force people to work for their paychecks, it aint gonna happen. Thats life, kids. IMHO.

Shaniya is not a huge case anymore, she isn't even filler on page three for the news media.

If there is not too much in the media, the defense will have a hard time saying the jury has been tainted. I think LE, the medical examiner and all other agencys involved are doing everything to avoid a change of venue or delays. (O/T in the Eve Carson case they want a change of venue out of the state of NC :furious
Frankly, I am glad there are no bits and pieces and leaks from LE, other agencys or any of the family and friends. The media tends to get their "facts" wrong or out of context anyway.

At Shanya's funeral, one of the Davis uncles spoke directly to Brad, and basically said , "you're a good man for keeping your head about you, if it were me (the Uncle), he wasn't so sure of what his own reaction would be."

The jurors in NC don't seem to vote much for DP and they haven't executed very many in over 30 years. In fact, a lot of the DP inmates have had their sentences converted to life.

I'm praying against all odds that we will see justice for Shaniya. I want this baby to have all the benefits that are due her, so that the monsters will not walk.
I'll continue to light a candle for Shaniya every other day as long as the site remains to do so, may she RIP.

It is kind of weird that there is no news out there. Makes me wonder if they even have evidence to charge the mom with trafficking or selling poor Shaniya. It is very frustrating.

To think that the government protects anyone is a fantasy. what is happening here IMHO is a hush, hush job.

I think that there will be a case minus trafficking.
I have been saying if AD is not charged right after the new year this will end up to be unjust no matter what..if she get charge of just negligence which I fear it is going to be a rip off to the justice of Shaniya.
