Shaniya Davis may not even get justice, because LE is paying politics IMHO

I think that there will be a case minus trafficking.
I have been saying if AD is not charged right after the new year this will end up to be unjust no matter what..if she get charge of just negligence which I fear it is going to be a rip off to the justice of Shaniya.

I think she'll get charged with more, just what it will be remains to be seen.

I am worried about the prosecutorial status.

Any prosecutor that draws this case, since I'm not sure who has it, has to beating their head off their desk and thanking God for videotape.
If it weren't for the tape, this would be a defense attorney's dream case. They first arrested the wrong man, and had to admit this when they let him go. Then the police made the statement that they thought she was safe, she was likely already dead; they had to admit that. Now, they have arrested someone else and her mother, on trafficking charges, when we see no evidence of trafficking, not even in the probable cause statement on McNeill.

Yeah, if it weren't for the tape, the DA would likely be calling for the resignation of a few officers. I worry that as it is, the case has been flubbed beyond repair.
ETA: The lack of leaks, in what seems to me to be a badly flawed department, further reinforces my fear that there are no leaks, because there is no evidence, save what we already know about.

Not my kids....you are so right. My only claim to sanity in this case and the Haleigh Cummings case is the knowledge that a just God is watching and knows all the facts and will give justice to these babies.

Really 2 - Maybe instead of calling for the heads of the CPS you could blame and do a research article on the mothers that allow this. Taking drugs and not taking kids out of abusive homes is a crime against children. And please do not say this was done to you and I don't know how hard life is. Grow up and take charge of your own life. Quit trying to mess up peoples jobs without finding a constructive way to help. Being a two bit paralegal does not qualify you to tell CPS workers how easy their job is.

I am sure they are going to "get" MAD ...but what about AD??? The "trafficing" charges?
selling her child???

I fear that somehow she is going to cop a plea for much lesser charges....like negligence, endangering etc.....grrrrrrrr

I am really really sick of seeing these unfit and dangerous mothers skating away

Shaynia should be awaiting Santa and baking Christmas cookies....instead....

Sorry abput that, I wrote it wrong. The link is www.worstrootcanalever.com. The site was developed by my sister and another injured patient. It's purpose is to warn the public about the illegal use of formaldehyde by some dentists, in root canals and as dry socket paste (after a tooth is pulled). After her dentist used it in her root canal she became very ill with severe infection. He played with her for months, but never admitted what was causing the infection. To make a long story short, she reported the dentist to the NJ Dental Board, after 7 1/2 years they have done NOTHING!! My sister lost half her jaw from this toxic paste. The dentist sold his practice and is living the good life, my sister wonders how long she will live. She sued him in court and they settled, but after paying off the insurance company lien and the lawyers, she has nothing left. Her life is ruined. NOBODY will help.

There is so much to the story, but this thread is for Shaniya. My point is that money and power are all that matters. Thank God for people like all of you that care about other people. I just dont know how we few can change the status quo. When I read that blurb about the base wanting to develop and build in the area, my heart sank for Shaniya once again.

I have no idea who the info came from on Coe, it could have been either BD, or AD or simply an assumption made by someone on the force. I don't think we have heard yet whose finger was pointed at him.
I'm still waiting for something...anything...to back up those trafficking charges. I have developed a patent mistrust of LE in Shaniya's jurisdiction.

I don't know how to change the status quo, not by myself.
But I know how to start a movement. And that usually attracts attention. A good enough cause will develop it's own following and that's when things change.
I think I will build Shaniya a website this afternoon, not a big one, but not a Myspace either. Her own site. And donations will not be accepted...

After living through what has happened to my sister (long story, see www.worstrootcanalever to understand) I realize that everything in this world is NOT as we think it is or should be. Politics and money come before EVERYTHING. Please understand, anything else comes last. Agencies put in place to protect the public do NOTHING, and are paid by our tax dollars. Policies put into place to supposedly help people, mean nothing. I am sorry to sound so cynical, but IMO if publicizing child-trafficking might interfere with high powered people's lives and reputations or force people to work for their paychecks, it aint gonna happen. Thats life, kids. IMHO.

Hi Songline, my sister is about three quarters of the way through nursing school. She is dedicating her life to helping the PATIENT...something many healthcare providers have no desire to do.

Her life is one of cronic pain and infection, her surgery did not take and she will probably lose her "freeflap" (the fibula used to replace her jaw). Not one agency in this country will help her, we have written everyone. Not one surgeon will treat her now because her surgery is a "failure". Her original surgeon, for all intents and purposes, abandoned her.

This is why I have no faith in this country's government agencies. This is why I can picture little Shaniya's justice being sacrificed for the greed in our society.

Sweet heart I know it is OT, but ... just one more post.

I think it is called a hair lip when a upper lip is completely deformed at birth....There have been several Doctors who take patients from foreign lands and do courtesy augmentations. IT is a very difficult operation and then plastic surgery to finish the job....
I have 2 suggestions:
A) Try to search them out and send them an e-mail with the Internet link to her story.
B) Get a web site for her and lets hope someone will come knocking on your door. willing to help.
Nothing to lose.

Last but not least you sue the SOB that harmed her.

Hi everyone. I am new to the forum and signed up to websleuths in order to keep updated on Shaniya's case. I have never been affected by a case like this and not a day goes by when I don't think about the little angel. Seeing her pictures really tugs at my heart strings and like many of you, I have been very frustrated with the little and no information we have been getting lately. I understand they are building their case and can possibly take a good amount of time for us to see real justice be served...as was the case with Christopher Michael Barrios. But I am willing to stand watch until justice finally comes for Shaniya.

I still think of Shaniya several times a day.

During this Christmas season, I try to focus on love and joy. Family and friends.
But, this case makes me realize how much evil really is on this Earth.

Praying for everyone who loves Shaniya. I know this time of year will be so difficult for them.

Shaniya should be so happy right now, knowing Santa will bring her something special. Such a special time for the children of the world.

But, I do take comfort in knowing she is with Jesus, who was born so many years ago and is our gift from God. This will be the most peaceful, love filled Christmas Shaniya has ever known.
