Is there any possibility that this Bradley is related to someone at the landscaping business? Sadly, I'm still wondering about the other murders.

Goes to show even a psycho can behave long enough to impress the parole board. I do think if an employer hires a former inmate, they should have to inform co-workers. I would refuse to work with a child killer.

I had a temp agency send me a child molester one day. I do in home delivery. Thankfully he did warehouse work before we realized it.

I don't understand how employers don't check employees with at least a Google search. I don't want anyone who steals, rapes, or kills. If you drove drunk once or got caught with drugs, that's on you. I don't want it coming back to me that an employee hurt someone.

I wonder of this 🤬🤬🤬 can be linked to any other unsolved cases...

Unfortunately he was in jail for the Scott's Hill bathtub murder. I know her sister. Breaks my heart.

Don't worry about your friends daughter sophiebelle. There are many more safe areas than crime ridden areas in Wilmington. Her realtor will advise her well and so will her fellow academics at the college about areas to avoid. I believe she will love it here and I wish her well.

Here's today's Star News story....

Thank you. She is a very shy young lady and not very street smart, so I too wish her well.

Great question Just K, Go to wwaytv3.com and read the comments. After reading that AND the FB post a fellow sleuth posted on pg 2 (IIRC) about Shannon's FB status saying 'it's complicated' and that she had a date with someone new (paraphrased) does make me go hmmmm.

I still feel the LISK is either a landscaper or fisherman but now we know Bradley is not the guy responsible for those four murders or the 2 murders of Allison and Angela in Wilmington because he was in prison when they were murdered. It's always good to try and make connections between cases and Amber Costello and her sister are from Wilm. and moved to Babylon, NY. The process of elimination sure is a long slow process. :banghead:

That is creepy. I thought they did better screening!

Yeah, I saw that and now I am seriously wondering why this Mott would knowingly hire a convicted murderer. Something is seriously sitting wrong with me...time to sleuth "someone" off the boards?

WHAT!?

zelmajane, When did this happen and do you have a link? I am so behind in local news since last Aug when my mom fell ill and I've been out of state more often than not caring for her. I feel out of the loop!

Thanks neighbor! wm

OK, so far we don't know why they pulled him in a traffic stop, on Tuesday. They just found the remains on Wednesday, right?

We also don't know if she was seen with Bradley on April 5th. I hope the details come out soon.

Its pretty easy to understand why LE early on knew this missing case wouldn't end well. Once they linked Shannon to Bradley, game over.

On Tuesday, members of the Wilmington Police Department located Vannewkirk's body on a farm in Hampstead that Vannewkirk's employer and friend Steve Mott said Wednesday he was developing to grow vegetables. Vannewkirk had been reported missing April 6.

Mott, owner of Mott Roofscaping and Landscaping, said Vannewkirk worked for him for more than a decade and he'd hired Bradley about a year ago.

"I was aware that he'd been in prison, and I was aware it was for murder, but he alluded that he'd killed his wife's boyfriend, when actually he killed his stepdaughter," said Mott.

When he was stopped by police just blocks from his Flint Drive apartment at Shipyard Boulevard and 17th Street and arrested Tuesday night in Vannewkirk's murder he was driving a 2012 Ford Focus, the dispatch logs indicate.

I wonder who found her body and how they came about the find?

How could this place not know he killed a child? Murder is murder but it seems worse that it was a child. I can't wrap my head around being let go on a LIFE sentence after 20-some years, only to kill again. Prime example of how people who kill just can't be "fixed" by the prison system. (Or any system in my opinion MOO) So many injustices happening with this. That little girl's mother must be just reeling with his early release and now he kills again. Shannon's family would still have her if this 🤬🤬🤬 wasn't let go. I just don't get it.....why did they let him go? SMDH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My family member just asked me a good question:
How did Shannon get to work everyday?
There is at least one other person working at Mott's who had a Level One DWI with and AID & ABET attached, too. It was a while ago but that makes me wonder if Mott hired second chancers on a regular basis. Somebody had to have a license to drive and transport the supplies, etc to the job sites.

I'm wondering if the boss was concerned when she didn't show up for work on Monday the 7th? Did he contact anyone about Shannon not being at work?

I haven't heard anything about the boss except for what has been in the news since her body was found.

Shannon may have rode her segway to work. I would greatly appreciate it if someone maps out the locations of interest....Shannon's address on 5th Ave., Mott Landscaping, 5 Queen st. Bradley's address, 2505 Flint Dr. and the location were Shannon's body was found on Hoover (?) Road, Hampstead.

I wonder whose car the 🤬🤬🤬 was driving at the traffic stop?

Name: Beverly Moore

Age: 52

Date: Sept. 27, 2009

Location: Hampstead

Summary: Moore was sexually assaulted, strangled and left for dead in the bathtub of her Sloop Point Road home in Hampstead. Detectives said Moore's husband discovered her body. In 2009, authorities released the sketch of two people they wanted to question in connection with Moore's death.

I was wrong about Scott's Hill. My apologies, her sister worked in Scott's Hill.

The above is from www.starnewsonline.com/article/20131231/ARTICLES/131239940?p=9&tc=pg

The story is about local unsolved murders. Pender, NH, and Brunswick counties.

Not a good map maker, but where she was found was far away from her home. 20-30 min drive.

Also, a friend of mine spoke to her at 3pm by phone the day she went missing. The police never even talked to him. He lives out Hoover road. Scared the putty out of me when she was found there. Haven't run into him since. Will report back when I do. (I don't think he's involved at all. I think he'd be sick at the thought she was so close by).
