So I just mapquested directions and I live like literally 14 mins from this home. I can always ride by and see for myself exactly how close this shed was to the home?

I'm on the fence on this. The shed looks to be a ways away from the house with trees in between. IMO, if the grandparents knew that he was staying there they may not have paid a lot of attention. I would imagine he would have stifled her screams and it sounds like he didn't let her leave the shed to go to the bathroom.

I can't imagine they would stand by and let it happen if they knew what was going on. I could very well be wrong though.

I must say the reporters who are covering this trial are doing a crappy job with their "live" updates. :banghead: It makes be think they are afraid any live updates would mess with the ratings of their respective stations.

Mini rant over.

Please take photographs if you can, without setting foot on the property.

I know I'm asking you...but I wouldn't do it myself. So if you say, NO WAY! I understand completely!

I've sent emails and tweets to HLN, NG, and Raleigh stations begging for better coverage and live streaming. Where the heck are their priorities???? So frustrated this murder is being obviously overlooked or ignored. I just don't get it.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

I would do it in a heart beat especially with high powered zoom lens. Only problem, I live in NM!!!!!

If the building I pointed out is the shed, it looks to be about 60-70 feet back.

I'm going to try to do it today on my way home. I don't own a nice camera (nikon) so all I have is my galaxy phone. I will try my best.......I won't step foot on their property.

Funny how it went from being a "Barn" to a "Shed".
When they say Barn, I imagine a fairly large outbuilding, with at least some room inside to run around, furnishings possibly, even divided rooms.
Now it is a piddly shed the size of a very small RV.
This mother....just....she needs to be sterilized. No more kids for you lady.
(She deserves much worse but the laws will protect her )

I'm going to try to get a better look today, but I don't think this is the shed. I think it was testifed to being a tiny shed. From the pics on map quest it looks like those are mobile homes?

Haven't found out much about Teghan's mother, Helen Roxanne Reyes. Wonder when her trial will start.
Edit: Just learned that she is free on bond. Amazing

I think they said it was 13 x19 feet?
If you look in the lower right of the pic it shows the key (feet to inches on the map). It looks about right.

But you can let us know later when you do your covert drive-by :seeya:
Be careful, and-

Channel 11, WTVD, IMO, did a better job than WRAL. And last night I didn't even see any coverage on channel 17, can't recall their call letters right now. But even Channel 11 didn't replay the nurse's testimony last night on the late news, 11:00. They simply stated she gave strong testimony and suggested you go to their website to hear it. :( I called and messaged both WRAL & WTVD numerous times to ask for more/better coverage. :please: :banghead:

:seeya: Hi neighbor. :fence:

I remember seeing a photo of the shed when the crime first happened. It wasn't as far away from the house as my husband's workshop shed is from ours. And this was 10 days, somebody had to be doing lawnwork out there during that length of time. We have to mow our grass weekly here. IIRC, I remember reading JR used the grandparents bathroom himself. And I still want to know who told JR 'he couldn't leave a 4 year old alone in that shed while he went to work?' Wasn't that what the defense lawyer said during his opening? When the childs mother, Reyes, was living there was she also using the grandparents bathroom? Where did she bathe her child? That's why I wish there was live feed. Not so we can hear the terrible abuse, but to get answers to these mundane questions. Where were those grandparents. IIRC, it took Sheriff Bissette quite a long time before he announced no more arrests would be made in this case. A number of us questioned 'what about JR's grandparents, the home owners? There are laws requiring anyone who suspects child abuse to report it to authorities. Someone had to have seen or heard a child living on their property.

Linda, I googled it. I can't see the shed but the Search Warrant stated the outbuilding is located directly behind the main residence.

At the linked site, you can click on the pic of the home and Zoom in.

Okay, I just checked something out. You can click on the pic I posted and it will take you to the pic I zoomed when I was on Google Maps. You can left click and hold click (mouse) and move the pic all directions. Cool.

There are folks here at WS that are very good with maps. Maybe some one will provide a pic of the shed (outbuilding). It is over my head . . . :scared:

See: DESCRIPTION OF PLACE TO BE SEARCHED

It appears to be a 3 bed, 2 bath home just over 1300 sq.ft. on approx. 1 & 3/4 acres of land. But it also appears that much of the surrounding land is also owned by the granparents. A couple plots, one as much as IIRC 18 acres. Johnston Co. tax records are much more difficult to read than Wake county. I can't find a date of purchase, etc.
