I'm on the fence on this. The shed looks to be a ways away from the house with trees in between. IMO, if the grandparents knew that he was staying there they may not have paid a lot of attention. I would imagine he would have stifled her screams and it sounds like he didn't let her leave the shed to go to the bathroom.
I can't imagine they would stand by and let it happen if they knew what was going on. I could very well be wrong though.
That's what I've been thinking, too, Myvice. I noticed that the S/W had pieces of tape on their list as well.
Did they even know that JR had a female companion living in there with him? And more is the question, did they know that there was also a 4 y/o little girl in that shed? He certainly could have told them that the little girl left with her mother.
He was at least, and inadequately, IMO, devious at Johnston Health when he told them how she got her fatal head injury -- fell off a 12-inch thick (I'm guessing) air mattress. I must say, a 3 month-old baby might not have sustained a serious injury from such a fall. Head injuries are tricky.
My point is, this man had enuff sense to know that she had hit her head "somehow" (some horribly violent way, certainly) and needed to lie about it. And he took her to the ER -- why? I hope the DT doesn't try to use his taking her to the ER to show how mentally impaired he is -- that he didn't remember or realize how badly he had injured her over & over & over again. I think the jury, by the time the DT presents its case, if they do, won't buy one dayam thing that the DT tries to say.
I'm gonna stop before I scream.

If the building I pointed out is the shed, it looks to be about 60-70 feet back.

I'm going to try to get a better look today, but I don't think this is the shed. I think it was testifed to being a tiny shed. From the pics on map quest it looks like those are mobile homes?
That's got to be it, Nymeria of the North. It's got the tin roof and the silver color, which we saw described in the S/W, and it's directly behind the house. That's what I identified as the shed when I first googled it. It looks to me like it's at least 70 ft back. A little girl's screams (please help me) with full blooming of all those trees in the summer might not be heard in the house in front. But, yes, that's gotta be the shed.
Are y'all in another blizzard up there? What's the temp?
Consciousness of guilt ....when he lied claiming the bite marks all over her were a skin condition.

No blizzards, not had anything but flurries in about a week :woot:
Right now it is 12 degrees, feels like -6 with windchill.....but heck that is a heatwave to us these days :floorlaugh:
The best part though? It got to mid 30's a few days ago, and we can now SEE CEMENT again! Sidewalks, driveways, roads! Yay!
(And not have to shovel for the last week, life is good).
Thanks for asking Born :seeya:
I suppose it's prolly like 50 in NC, no more ice storms for you all?
"The crime scene investigator began to weep." FIrst time I have heard that phrase. That poor child.
Okay, this may sound a bit off or something, but this just came to mind as I was reading everyones posts on 'live/no live feed'. Watch trial/can't watch trial. A couple weeks ago Michael Vick was supposed to speak at the greater Raleigh chamber of commerce 'evening of champions'. I was involved in the protest of that event with a group, 'the positive pitbull'. Over 75,000 signatures were collected on a petition against MV speaking at the event. A lot of people I came into contact with said something like 'he did his time for dog fighting' blah blah blah. I said 'dog fighting was the least of his crimes' and went on to explain the brutal crimes he committed in the torture and murder of dogs. Many people had no idea MV had done anything but back a dog fighting ring. As I was reading this discussion I thought, the same way MV was able to cover up the real crimes he committed, by avoiding trial, avoiding the details, Richardson would be able to do if no one hears what happened to this little girl, Teghan. Richardsons says 'she fell off the bed' & 'I disciplined her for bed-wetting the same way I was punished' [/B]and a segment of society can move along, secure in the idea 'these things don't happen here'. We live in rural Johnston County, where Teghan was murdered. I have never been able to drive/ride along these rural roads now without looking at people's out-buildings and wondering 'what could be happening in there?' I scan the countryside for ANYTHING that might appear a bit off. When I walk with my dogs I'm always looking and listening for anything....
So I just mapquested directions and I live like literally 14 mins from this home. I can always ride by and see for myself exactly how close this shed was to the home?
I've sent emails and tweets to HLN, NG, and Raleigh stations begging for better coverage and live streaming. Where the heck are their priorities???? So frustrated this murder is being obviously overlooked or ignored. I just don't get it.:banghead::banghead::banghead:
are they in court today? I am looking but not finding anything so far.. what a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE case!
