Lincoln County Sheriff’s Detectives are still looking for 27-year-old Toasha Nicole Rice from western Lincoln County. Officers say they have followed up on all the leads they’ve received, thus far...

Detectives went house to house on Palm Tree Drive last Thursday in an area the woman was known to frequent in an effort to gather additional leads, but nothing new was developed.

Detectives have followed up on all leads, but have come up short. A K-9 team recently searched a wooded area of Soreels Baxter and Eaker Roads in the western part of Lincoln County, but no signs of Rice were found.

In my opinion, she bears a pretty strong resemblance to the actress Jennifer Jason Leigh. I mention this only because I am pretty terrible with faces, unless they remind me of something. So perhaps this might trigger something for someone else.

I wonder why the aunt is so certain that it is someone else on her FB page.

The recent drug charge and the FB pics scream of heroin or meth addict. Sorry just call em like I see em.

This is sad for her children and I understand her aunt is concerned by airing all of the families dirty laundry on FB is not cool IMO.

According to one of the comments here, someone thinks they may have seen her in Shannon, MS, although it is not clear when. She was apparently with a man although it was a women she was "officially" last seen with (if that's true). Shannon's about an 11 hour drive from Vale per Google Maps.

Someone had posted on June 19th that Nikki was in contact with a friend via FB stating she was "at the beach" (also mentioned by Nikki's aunt on Nikki's FB). To me this doesn't seem to add up to the possible sighting in Shannon and there are comments indicating her FB has been highjacked...but by who? Why?

Just trying to put the pieces together. I just read the entire Anji Dean thread and...well, regardless of the opinions surrounding that specific case, it's been making me wonder if something somewhat similar didn't happen here.

Post #30 states she had a court date coming up for a drug-related offense. I wonder if she got in over her head with some heavy people in the drug industry and perhaps a debt was owed or she knew too much...they threatened to harm her children or something to that extent so she left "willingly" with them.

What do you guys think? Could this be a possibility? I'm starting to wonder just how often this kind of thing happens.

Erica Klinger also comes to mind but...I don't want to think that way yet.

This case is local for me, Lincoln Co is only about 10 miles from where I live. I'm kind of embarrassed to admit it but when I first read about her disappearance, I just assumed that she was just running from an upcoming court date and after I read some of the posts from her aunt that just seemed to bolster that thought. But now, reading that there is no activity on her debit card or credit cards after 2 months I'm more concerned for her. I hope she hasn't gotten in over her head with something she can't get out of. MOO

June 21 Nikki's aunt posted that rumor says Nikki is with David Griffigh "on the beach"

Keep in mind that people who know Nikki, like her Aunt and other, believe that Nikki's FB has been highjacked and that someone seem to try to make it look like it is Nikki who is sometimes online.

Could it be a person who have hurt Nikki who is playing with her loved once ???
IF that is the case, the person is a very dangerous person.

I sure hope this is not the case and that Nikki is safe and that she for real will soon contact her family.

All I can say is WOW! I am praying this girl is found safe. The information on the FB page just blew me away. It seems the aunt may be the only person looking for her. There was someone by the name of Tim ***** mentioned on Facebook has anyone heard what his story is. It seems like there is some confusion as to whether she drove away or was with someone else. Anyone have anymore info to clarify on that?

Rice has a drug problem that likely dates back to high school... Rice turned over custody of her two sons to her parents four years ago, but she loved her boys and often visited, according to her mother. Next week, Rice’s youngest will start kindergarten. Green feels certain her daughter won’t be there to see it.

Green and her husband, J.R., have had more than their fair share of heartache. The Vale couple had four children, three daughters and a son. One daughter was shot and killed in 1993. Another died from an aneurism in 2004. With Rice gone, they have only one child left, a son in South Carolina.

Detectives have interviewed family, friends, and a number of people she is known to associate with. They searched a large wooded area off Sorrells Baxter Road and Eaker Road in western Lincoln County with a K-9 search team.

“Toasha has not contacted her family, used her financial credit cards, or picked up checks, and that is not a good sign,” sheriff’s Lt. Tim Johnson said...

Investigators intend to back-track their investigation “to make sure we have not missed anything,” Johnson said. “We want closure for Nikki’s children and other family members. We need someone to give good information to get a break in this case.”

Rice is the daughter of Brenda and J.R. Green.

The Vale couple is raising Rice’s two sons while coping with the loss of their third child.

The Greens had four children, three daughters and a son.

One daughter was shot and killed in 1993, and another died of an aneurism. Finding Rice, even if she’s dead, could help the couple with the grieving process, Johnson said.
