Deputies in Lincoln County are asking for the public’s help finding a missing 50-year-old man.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, William Ervin Rice Jr., of Lincolnton, was last seen on February 21 when he was dropped off at work by a family member. Police say Rice works at the Timken Company.

Rice is described as a black male, approximately 5-foot-5, and weighs around 190 pounds. He has black hair, light brown skin and brown eyes.

Timken looks like a company that makes parts for huge industrial machinery.

The area is industrial, but surrounded by homes and a little wooded area.

50-year-old William Rice has been missing for almost two weeks. The last time anyone saw him was when his wife, Ardella Rice, dropped him off at work.

They have been married for 21 years.
“From here to Charlotte to Virginia, to Florida to Idaho, whole mess of people just praying for you, that we love you,” his wife said.
The last time she spoke to him weeks ago at work. Rice spent the past decade working for Timken.
“He sent me a text saying that he's had a rough day and that there was a lot going on, and I said I was sorry, and he said no, I'm sorry,” she said.
She says no matter what he's going through, she wants him to reach out.
